What was this about

I would have pulled out my phone, set it to camera, and asked them to smile.

That is some seriously f*ed up crap, though. I don't think I would have remained as calm as you. I would have told them to suck it.

What would stop them from just taking your phone?

Good point. :p

Honestly I was tempted to pull my phone out once and do that in a situation but when I looked in the guys eyes and saw no one was home I realized I was just throwing gas on a blow torch and walked away, otherwise I wouldn't know any better! Lol

I would have said "Make your move or get the #$%^ out of my way". Their just overcompensating for their small #%^is's and if they were serious about what they said their going to follow through regardless of what you say.

Or head but, aka Glasgow Kiss, with helmet on.

Seriously though, you made the right move by just calmly leaving the scene. Don't know if calling the cops/reporting it would help but one day these hoods may run into the wrong person.

Three against one, not good odds.

OP, by any chance are you not a big guy? Don't take it the wrong way but bullies always pick on the little guys.

This took place at the plaza on Bovaird & mountain ash.
I should have called the cops but honestly only realized what this all was while talking to people at work.

what a rough situation to be in.

I would definitely not hang out in the same area again. Weapon or not, 3 on 1 are not good odds.

In the past there have been similar incidents, in Brampton, in which people have been rolled for their shoes or jackets. Several late teenage males approach and press for something, then take it by force when denied. OP if this ever happens again, report it to police immediately. You will likely find that the people in question fall into the 'known to police' category. Letting it pass just means that they'll be looking for someone else, to victimize.

My favourite street fight video. But seriously, how many people are that well trained to handle that situation?
I love how eye of the tiger is playing in the background...

at OP: kudos for doing it in such a calm manner.

Don't know much about OP's stature.
There's a reason I run, weight lift, mtn bike to remain fit. If someone were to try mugging me, I won't give it to them that easy

Good on you for keeping calm.... putting all of your gear one is the best thing you can do before doing anything. 1) Gear is on so you can make a quick getaway if needed or 2) Great hands and head defence.

I think it would have been better if the gun holder is on the clutch side...

anyways, OP, it's time for you to learn some kung-fu. actually, all the law abiding citizens in Brampton should...
