It's a good case because it fits long graphics cards but there are some design flaws.

For one I had to drill holes for the rad to fit. You think in a windowed case they'd expect watercooling.

Second, you can't fit a fan at the bottom even though they make a slot for it because the PSu covers the screw holes.

We have a similar setup. Only difference is the gfx card and PSu

I used to have a 212 and switched to water because these 4790s run some high temps. Even with the water cool I'll sometimes Spike to 60 on siege or the division.

I have a 8 yr old case & my corsair h60 watercooler fits in the fan Screws in the back. My watercooler is not much better than my aircooler

Same here I dropped about 5 degrees under load after watercooling which is alright for these haswell chips. I max out at like 60 degrees on rainbow six siege or bf4. But average around 55 degrees. It was a lot better than the once 70 degrees I was getting when I poorly applied thermal paste on the 212.

Sometimes it all comes down to how you did the thermal paste and what brand you used. When I redid my thermal paste a while back I managed to drop it by 5 degrees.

I believe I have mines attached pretty well. Got a pea size paste & the cpu is lapped to a gloss finish. Come to think of it, I have to lap my cooler surface.

I also overclock mines also so that doesn't help
 
The problem with anything post-Sandy Bridge is the lousy bond between the heat spreader and the die of the CPU. Intel determined that with the lower TDP of their newer chips, the thermal interface between the two didn't need to be as good so they could save a few cents. If you really want to see the benefit of that water cooler, you could "delid" your processor and fix it, but you would end up assuming a non-insubstantial risk

Yeah I've seen that. Risky stuff, not willing to risk the brand new CPU for that. If I notice they get way too high to the point where the computer crashes I'll probably consider it. Or just buy a new CPU. Maybe even like a cheaper one and just oc it.

Not very good. I am running an AMD fx8500. That has 8 cores at 4Ghz. There is socket temp & core temp. Under prime, I get 80C on the socket, 70C on the core. That is not natural & I can't seem to get a remedy for it. The consensus online seems to cut a hole in the back of the case so it can breathe or put a fan on it. I am just gonna get a new case, that's why I asked about the case.

I dropped 12 degrees on my 4770k going from a 212 Evo to a water cooler. Mind you the 212 hadn't been cleaned in a while so it was running a little hotter than when it was new.
 
I had some good fun with the Division beta but I can see the full game just turning into a grindfest like every MMO does. The DZ stuff can be fun but I found it to be fairly empty most of the time and hard to find decent loot. I might get it at some point but definitely not for the full price tag at release.

I noticed the same thing. I hope that is just a byproduct of only the beta and not the full game...
 
Thanks, nah for $90... let me know if you go down on price. i was just curious because I have a 7870 right now and was thinking of putting 'low cost' 7870 into my wife's machine. she doesn't do any gaming (hardly any) and its more to have one in there when friends come over for a few rounds. not that 90 is a bad price just isn't worth that to me personally for a non-gaming rig.

Anyone here pre-order the Oculus Rift? I did myself, have to wait till June for the estimated delivery time.

Not a big gamer, but have always wanted VR since I was a kid.
 
Yes, that one looks pretty cool to with the front camera. There is no release date and some places have said it would cost more then the Oculus Rift. Will definitely be checking it out when it is released to see how it compares.
