What did you do to your track/race bike today

I would think so. I thought you'd have rain tires since you were planing on riding in the wet, thats why I asked :)

both will be useless in wet race conditions
 
A street tire will be marginally better than a race tire in water....but neither will allow you to be competetive with the people out there on rains.
I have made wrong tire choices before...if it's raining and youre on DOTS, you can race it out with whoever else made a bad tire choice, both of you will be tiptoeing around, fighting over which one of you gets to place dead last,LOL...Speaking from experience.
 
Mate of mine does 2.13s at Calabogie. He did a 2.14 on rains, in the rain last year. I went from a 2.17 to a 2.35 on slicks on a damp track. If you want to go fast in the wet then get rains.

i picked rains that race, thanks, lol
 
Corsara I'll be there on Q2s as well so we can suffer together. I know it may be a wasted day for trying to better lap times, but at the least it will be a bit of a shakedown for the rest of the season - bedding in brake pads, scrubbing in the new tires, trying out gopro mounts, etc.

I've made it around TMP in the wet with dots and didn't have any problems. It's all in the wrist.
 
Put slicks on my rims and helped a buddy finish up his safety wiring for Friday. I had no idea that the fast guys up in extreme 600 r gonna be racing in lost era. Dammit, I'm gonna get lapped :(

We were just standing there watching Kellen do a last minute tire change. But the time the weather turned, we were pooched and Kellen was already safety wired up lol
