What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Nice. That's too fancy for me though. haha... The bodywork won't be super pretty this year. Next year I'll make it nice again (maybe).

Repaired crash damage to my fairing, primed painted and clear-coated. Even sanded the blood splatter off the inside. Just need to repair the burn hole in my belly pan, change tires and clean the chain.

Curious to hear what she sounds like with the wrapped exhaust.

Duc.. You should have just painted the bike red. Saves you color matching the yellow and hides the blood! Do I need to get you a reverse shocker sticker so you match the endurance bike?

Oh, and the trash talk begins! Got your 550-lb BOTT LW contender track-ready yet? Or still whining about how cold it is in the garage?

You calling my bike fat?!? ... Well...damn..I have no comeback. I'm guessing my bike will be heavier than most of the bikes with their riders in our class!
I've installed the full Laser race exhaust, powercommander and power filter on the weekend. As an added bonus I got a sleepless night thrown in. After doing the work I fired her up. 2 seconds later the oil pressure light came on. It was too late to do anything other than the basic checks and go in and dream of spun bearings and other bad things. Luckily in the morning I traced the wiring and found a couple of rub thru's. Rewrapped and light was off. New exhaust sounds sweet! At least as I go around in last place I'll sound good!

You know I am just jealous. That bike is super cool and your new exhaust is sooooooo nice.....

Radiators? We don't need no stinkin' radiators.... Big bore air-cooled twins baby!

Dino Paron won many BOTT races on one of those...and he is 7' tall! Huge bike, huge rider....made everyone else look like they are riding pocketbikes.

(Oil pump failures are alot less frequent than oil pressure sender failures,LOL)

Installed quick change kit on the front tire.

No more removing calipers, no more removing pinch bolts... :)

Just got to get the magnets on the brake pads

Got carbon fiber rear brake rotor from MikeyMoto as well as his brake lever guard. With that rotor and the new ceramic bearings it should shave 5 seconds off my lap time! ;)

^^ NOT my bike, just a pic of the carbon rotor.

Bike is at Sharrard for the install plus fork flush, chain/sprockets (-2/+4 or 15/49), etc. Can't wait!

Seriously? Carbon fibre rotor? ...and what is that, carbon fibre swing-arm shroud?

You do know they don't work unless you have enough speed to keep them hot? Meaning you need to be going real fast.

That's not a pic of his bike.

I was going to say, I see $2000 there that would have been better spent on doing a really good riding school.

Hey it's his money though. Maybe it'll help with wheelies.

Sorry, I just grabbed that pic from Mikeymoto's website/sale page to show what the carbon rotor looked liked, should have mentioned it wasn't my bike.

I only use it to keep my front wheel down during passes, so it should get hot quick and if not, oh well, loose a little power to the front in the air. That and tech inspection is all I use the rear for.
