What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

I think you offered to take me and my buddy out for our maiden voyage. Some other nice fellow on a zx6 took us out and showed us around. After only being on tmp and rdt, shannonville was amazing but scary. Glad to see so many fellow riders willing to help rookies out. I think we were offered a ride around the track by 4 different people.

Oh ya! Ok another name to a face. Nice to meet ya.

Hopefully you get it sorted. Just an idea but did you have the software updated? I know someone was having issues last year until they did the updates.

I did not update anything, but it's also en route to Cali so I can't check it now. I guess they'll be able to check when they get it.

Why not go with a stand alone quickshifter solution instead? http://www.hmquickshifter.com/

Because an all-in-one unit makes sense? Nothing wrong with HM but both it and the Bazzaz are a spark interrupt QS (which I like) but the Bazzaz offers more adjustment.

Friday practice revealed some suspension issue. Too stiff in the rear and a little soft up front. We took out preload in the back and put some in the front, reduced rebound damping in the rear slightly as well. Made the bike a ton better for Saturday practice/heats. Tires wear looks perfect now.

Lost the bolt and spacer holding the Ohlins damper to the bracket at some point in the Rookie race on Sunday which almost put me in the bean field. Anyone know where to get just the spacer?

If your talking about the plastic bushing Z1 has them, he was making sure I had mine. Those two bolts are good to safety wire, I'm surprised it isn't a rule.

I was actually planning on safety wiring it after the race weekend since I didn't bring a drill, but that didnt work out lol

I took it off on Saturday because the bolt in the base was loose. Maybe I forgot to snug that one back up.

What I need is the spacer/tophat washer in the top left of the pic next to the bolts.

The box it came in is in my spares bin, I'll check and see if there is a spare one in there.

Yesterday - SOAR round 1. Lots of good riding to go around. The three n00bs (including N3WMAN) all did great.

This was the first time I really got to try out the engine that I rebuilt last year (including reworking the intake ports). I ran it for the last two rounds last year, but rode hurt for one and the weather sucked for the other. No problem this weekend. Muuuuch better midrange with the new (smaller) intake ports. Kept Rich Wilson in sight and he's on a built GSXR750 (against my Fizzer 400). My air/fuel gauge shows it's rich at part throttle, so today I lowered the needles in the carbs by one groove which should help the throttle response a bit. Gave the bike a general check-up - oil level OK, water in radiator OK - and put the VRRA bodywork on (different number) to be ready for next weekend.

Yep he told me he bought a ton of them when I was there Saturday. If carboncat can't hook you up or you want a spare or two he's got em.

Gonna try to install a gear indicator i gave up on last year. Will be out for a podium at rd 2

A few phone calls with Bazzaz yesterday.. They have sent me a new ZFi TC unit, I will pick it up Wednesday in Port Huron and head out for CSBK Shannonville Thursday after work.

And you thought I was cutting it close!

I still don't have a place to sleep at this point but my bikes mostly together. Will I be the only one there sleeping in a tent?

A few of us with old junk are thinking about racing int he Sportsman support class race, but can't get a reply from anyone at RACE by email or phone.

Let's see if this works

....nope.

Can you upload an image from an album in your profile? If so how?

Hopefully next year I will have a big enough trailer to live in.... And a truck to pull it.

You used to have a nice setup, wha happen? I planned ahead with the new truck, I didn't want to buy it and a trailer all in one year. If you want to pit near me and put stuff in my trailer (if it ever gets here) your more than welcome, as long as you let me pass you lol.
