Hey dricked, I saw you there with your bike at the riders meeting but didn't see you on track all day. Did you ride??
Found the problem - electrical connection to an injector, which cost me my whole first race weekend . Note to self: do not go to track without cables for diagnostic tool. If I had known the CEL code while I was still at the track I likely could have fixed it Saturday.
Will be ready for Round 2.
I sure did! Only issue I had was my QS not working. Pretty happy with the first outing, some minor suspension tweaks, a front spring swap, and I should be in good form for the Shannonville national.
I feel your pain.
I had an issue come up at Shannonville two weeks ago. It seems as though the QS was cutting on its own, but it only happened 3-4 times during the race. Bazzaz wanted me to ship the control module back to them but I didn't want to miss SOAR so I just rode it as is.
It was fine all day Thursday, 8 sessions instructing (lots of track time). It was fine during Saturday practice and qualifying and it was fine during Sunday practice. On the 5th lap of the Open Sprint race it cut out a few times, then on the 6th lap in the carousel it started cutting constantly and even at low throttle input. DNF in Open and a DNS in Superbike.
Based on my emails back and forth with Bazzaz they don't think it is the QS sensor or brain that is faulty, they suspect the control module.... so it's in a box and it's being over-nighted to Cali for diagnostics. Hopefully I can get it back in time for CSBK Shannonville. It's gonna be tight!
Crazy, I wonder why I didn't see you out there. Must have always been on opposite sides of the track. I found out I need stiffer front springs too... I think I was hitting the bottom through the bumps in 6A. The zip tie is about 2mm from the bottom on the fork.
got two 2end place's at soar with it this weekend! was alot of fun
I was bottoming out all day, and my fork travel marker (fancier than a zip tie lol) was against the fork body. The springs are super easy to change so I'm going to put 1 1.05 in with my other 1.0. I had 6 clicks of compression left and was just keeping from bottoming out, once I drop the times down it'll be far too soft.
Why not go with a stand alone quickshifter solution instead? http://www.hmquickshifter.com/so it's in a box and it's being over-nighted to Cali for diagnostics. Hopefully I can get it back in time for CSBK Shannonville. It's gonna be tight!

I was on my 750 with oem on, light blue and white. You were following me in the pits when you went to talk to RJ after the first race. Didn't want to bother you. Wife was on the 6 blue and grey. Filmed from the dragstrip grandstand. Wanted to check out SOAR before deciding if I'm going racing again. What bike were you on?
The blue one?
You rode well this weekend.
How is your buddy making out, i saw him passed out in the pits, he was as red as a lobster lol.
