What did you do to your Race/Track Bike today - 2014

Removed and bypassed my oil cooler (since it gave up the ghost at SOAR practice). The replacement I bought will probably show up today, but I couldn't wait any longer to get the bike ready for Round 1. If temps get too high I may install the replacement at the track, but I doubt they will. I secretly suspect that the cooler does next to nothing anyway (this is based on experience, not just a wild guess).

How do you know if your oil temps get too high? You have an oil temp gauge?

Changed the oil
Installed new grips
Installed my new WM handlebar control switches
Put new wheels and tires on the trailer and then washed it
Then took the bike around the block a few times to make sure the new quick shifter was working fine.
Then put the bottom bodywork on and loaded it in the trailer for tomorrow's Racer5, Level-5 day !!!
Then off to Mosport for the DOCC Track Festival. (Hoping to do Monday with Pro6 also)

If you want blingy aluminum nuts for your sprockets buy the ones with the nylon locker in them (lightech) and use blue locktite. That way you don't have this issue again.
Who stocks lightech stuff in Canada? The rear sprocket nuts are pretty damn universal, yet nobody has them? Checked with Dave at Competition Cycle, would have to order from OPP, not quick. Tony from Bluestreak isn't returning my emails or calls. GP bikes laughed at me when I asked for them "if Rizoma doesn't make em we dun have it".

I see Motomummy has the Ti ones, might trust them a little more than aluminum at this point: https://www.motomummy.com/sprockets/lightech-titanium-sprocket-nuts/

Anywhere to get their ish in Canada?

If it's some emergency to get rolling just put the OEM nuts back on... the extra weight at the rear wheel will help with your stoppie control.

Opp is it. You'll get them in a week maybe less. They don't take long to process the order and get it shipped. I just got a shipment from them, it came from their warehouse in California. Order was placed on the 14th and showed up at my door on the 20th.

They were installed over a year ago at John's shop. Not sure if I kept the old ones. I guess some OEM nuts would be easier to find though.

Thanks for the info. They don't ship out of their BC location for Canadian orders? Wacky.

I see probolt has some really nice ones too, not sure if easier to get than lightech.

I would recommend stop worrying so much for light nuts and start spending your money in proper track instruction.

Got the Hawk ready to go to Grand Bend tomorrow. New brake pads, flushed the coolant, new spark plugs and a general going over.

They do, my point was that they shipped from the US and it got here quickly. I guess what I ordered wasn't in stock at their Canadian location.

The grams he's saving off the rotating mass will help make up for the lack of bodywork. He's got it figured out.

I'm just waiting to see carbon fiber bodywork get put on it.
