I need an elevator for a similar setup -- the ramp I installed is OK for me, but too steep for sis and mom. Did you have it made or did you buy the elevator?

The elevator was a used unit for $5300. They bought it back for $1500.A carpenter friend made the deck and stairs for cost of materials. The place that sold me the lift wanted $5000 for the deck.
Silver Cross sells good mobility aids devices, but it ain't cheap.
What kind of mig and plasma cutter do you have ? I’m thinking of picking up a mig for an upcoming job doing some light fabrication and auto body panels a little later down the road.

At home I have an ancient Miller 250a I keep setup with argon, and a Hobart 140 I keep setup with Flux core, and a Lincoln 140 I keep at the shop.
The Miller works on anything thick or thin, but its big and not portable. The Hobart 140 is my fave, it's light, portable, 120v and has a great duty cycle. I keep it in fluxcore because I weld mostly outside (gas mig doesn't work well outdoors).
Just bought a Lincoln 140s for light duty at the shop. The Hobart is about $100 more, but uts a pto tool - the small Lincolns are toys, save 1/2 your money and get a PowerFister or Amazon cheapie.
My plasma is a Chinese CUT50a trigger start, I bought it to learn and experiment. Runs 120 and 220v. It cuts 3/16 easily on 120v, and handles 1/2" on 120v. Easy to learn, cuts line an oxy/acetylene torch.
I use a dust stopper from Home Depot. it's expensive for what it is, but its a low lower profile than the dust deputy and i can fit it under my work bench.
It's listed for $90, ouch. I think I paid $60ish two years ago.

Wifes car is pissing me off. She complained about a banging noise in the front end. Took it for a drive last weekend and it was a suspension issue. Up on stands, crank the wheel and right front strut bearing had failed. I haven't seen that before so I dropped the strut. Bollocks. Spring had broken and that's what took out the bearing. Ordered new struts (cheaper from US than canada). Ordered saturday, they showed up today and went in tonight. Battery died at some point in the garage. I guess her car isn't smart enough to turn off the interior lights if the hatch is up. Charger is on it now. I'll drive it tomorrow and make sure it's happy. Alignment in a week or so as now the entire front and rear suspension has been apart.
She doesn't want to give my car back. It's a car instead of a stupid SUV and she likes it far better.
What a nightmare this weekend has been. Swapping the front calipers on my 2019 Jeep JL to the rubicon brakes because they are slightly bigger, plus new pads and rotors. In the kit are the flex lines between the calipers and the hardlines on the frame. Of coarse, the flare nuts on BOTH sides stripped the threads out while removing them....
Didn't think I'd be flaring brake lines on a 3 year old vehicle...
Battery on the wife's Ducati is dead. Blew the inline fuse on the charging lead. Having to remove all the body work and gas tank to access the battery is a major pita. Think I may just order a new battery while I am in there.
