What did you do in your garage today..?

driveway off a collector road. Piles on the corners of their driveway about 7' tall. Driveway substantially narrowed as piles have grown.

Someone in a local community FB group out In my area was looking for ideas how to fix her driveway as apparently it was so bad Amazon wouldn’t deliver her stuff anymore. She posted photos and it became abundantly clear that they’ve made no effort to shovel their driveway at all through any of these recent snowfalls, just driving into/over it instead. Now with a few thaw and freeze cycles it was basically just giant rutted chunks of ice surrounded by a skating rink.

That's going to suck to fix. A two-stage or a plow can make some progress but most wont get under and lift the ice.

I'm normally half lazy and drive over a few inches of snow. I'll deal with it once it's over 6" normally. Asphalt disappears in December and reappears in ~March. I have some neighbours that get more sun on their driveway and shovel everytime there is 1" or more. Their driveway is bare asphalt all winter.

It's entertaining to read people complaining. Many truly believe that plow operators target their driveways and intentionally build larger piles for some people.
Lol one of my neighbours use to park 1 of their cars on the street, so what would happen the plow had to go around it or something and so they would get extra snow pile at the foot of the driveway. I don't think the operator purposely did it, just the way it worked going around the car.

I try to keep ours scraped clean especially since the only way to and from our front door in the winter is back-and-forth across the driveway. A little bit of ice had built up in the tire tread area but I was able to scrape it all off last Saturday when it warmed up a bit.

Put my beta on the bench and dusted it off to take a bunch off pics for my listing.
Oh, and gassed up the snowblower.
It's a nice looking bike. I think mint condition undersells it and it's probably better than when you took delivery. Decided to stop carting around a spare to hang out in the trailer and just bringing the dragonfly now? Could you throw the dragonfly in the back of the rav and ditch the trailer?

I think your link was cutoff.

Why not be a good dad and put a bow in that Beta then drop it off at your Daughter's garage?
She rides the Beta now and then, but prefers the TY. The Beta is only 200cc, but it's very capable.
It was $13,000 otd.$8,000 is a great deal.

A couple of my neighbors have them. The power shovels are good, but they are a lot of work. The old fellow next door has a 22" 2-stage Ryobi, on Sunday we blew 4 driveways on 2x8AH batteries and still had juice.

My other neighbour has the 21" pusher type, he can clear 2-3 driveways on 6AH battery, but it's a lot more work and it's not able to cut through the snow furrows left by plows.

I was impressed! My next blower will be electric.
How long/wide were those driveways?

I plow once there is four or 5 in of snow on the ground so far this year I've only had to plow twice this will be the third time. I have about two and a half kilometers I plow when there's enough snow so I can drive the truck back to the skating rink.

Trying to prepare for this snowmageddon...
Went to start my snow blower for the first time this winter (haven't used it last winter at all).
Poured some gas in, started on fist pull of the cord, BUT there is a fuel leak.
Leak is at the fuel shut off valve. I added this part as it originally did not come with one. There is a spot for it from factory but not fitted with it.
The leak is not at the hose connections but inside the valve. Thankfully I had a spare one on hand and was able to find within a 3 minute search. I was actually worried I would be looking for the spare part till tomorrow. Need to order another one just in case.

Crises averted.

Are we talking unheated garage? Sacre bleu!

Ca c’est vrai!
(It’s on the list)

Neighbours are all around 20x50 -- so about 1000sq', mine is about 2000sq' because my garage is behind the house.

Meth. Your pet cock doesn't like meth.

On our street the plow almost always comes from the left of the house and it clears about 2/3 of the street, leaving a fairly large packed windrow to clear.

If the plow hasn't been by and I want to minimize the windrow it will leave behind I use my blower to clear the road in front of my driveway out about 10' and about 15' to the left. This removes almost all of the snow they'd be piling up at the end on the driveway. This extra clearing takes 5 minutes.
