Gee, it wasn't personal. It is a problem that we have been trying to fix.[/QUOTE]

Sorry Rick.
I sent Twisted Kestrel a message asking about it.
I thought I was doing something wrong.

On our street the plow almost always comes from the left of the house and it clears about 2/3 of the street, leaving a fairly large packed windrow to clear.

If the plow hasn't been by and I want to minimize the windrow it will leave behind I use my blower to clear the road in front of my driveway out about 10' and about 15' to the left. This removes almost all of the snow they'd be piling up at the end on the driveway. This extra clearing takes 5 minutes.
Here is what I came how to last nite after the plowbastard did my street. That’s looking at my driveway from my car.

Have lemons make lemonade. Don't you own a sled anymore?
I have a sled, but it's 700km north of here. I could put the ice tires on my DR125.

FAK.
Snow blower out of service again.

By the looks of it, the idler/tension spring broke and the blower no longer moves.

From my observation, I believe the spring is supposed to go where I drew in the green line.
This is based on previous marking that I would expect a spring to make on the other metal parts and observing how the mechanism would work. (I am not snow blower expert)
The parts manual isn't drawn up in such detail to identify the location of the spring.

Oh well, Need to source the spring. At least I was able to clear the windrow left at the end of my driveway as a Family Day gift form the Town of Milton.

Found the busted spring at the bottom of the belly pan.

Had my blower in to tighten the handles. I mistakenly thought I needed inside the belly pan to access a nut. I really like being able to tip them 90 degrees to form their own work stand. While inside I greased the hexagonel drive axle stik. Once back on two wheels I decided to go all the way, so I tossed some seafoam in the tank and checked the oil.

I’m in the southwest corner of New Mexico and it’s absolutely beautiful here. Just before I left I asked my neighbor to keep my driveway cleared as we have tenants. It seemed like we were having a mild winter so I didn’t feel too bad asking. Well that poor guy has been clearing snow since the day we left. We have a 300’+ long circular driveway so it’s not exactly a 5 minute job.
