Lots of closures this week till the weekend on both ranges, so I believe this is the last of the backstop and hvac upgrades. Which sucks because I just got a Kriss Vector in the mail yesterday and I'm dying to test it out! Gonna wait till Saturday and see what's up over there

Considering joining Silverdale. Gonna go up there in a couple weeks with a buddy that shoots as well.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Weekends are a nightmare at Silverdale. And their crudely slapped-together baffles are a joke.

But, you can't beat the price.. and if you ever have time to go during the week, you're golden.

As a non member what kind of range can you shoot at there? Is there specific distances or limits? And is there any steel targets or gongs?

Im trying to build up the motivation to make the trip, weekdays work for me!

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

Weekdays work for me too. I'm usually off every week on Wednesday or Thursday.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

I dunno what their rules are now... I'm no longer a member. But if you're interested in trying them out just call ahead on a weekday and ask nicely to check out the facilities for the usual guest fee. I know they only accept guests on weekends but that's always been kinda flexible.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

I'm heading out to Silverdale this Friday with a bunch of girls. I love going there once and a while but honesty it's far. When we go we usually pack a picnic lunch and make a whole day of it.

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?

I belong to Burlington, but find that even though they are a 24/7 range, the disciplines are from 6-11pm every night except for Saturday, makes it hard to shoot when I want to.

Collection:
HKP30L
Norino AR15
Mosin M39 and M44
VZ24
1960's Walther P38
3x SKS (Chinese + 2 Russian)
1980's Mossberg 12G

I was supposed to go either tonight or this Thursday to sign up, have not decided if I will join or not, but being just down the road would be nice and easy to get too.....

I'm going to head up to Silverdale on the 4th with a buddy.
Going to break in my new ar build and his new rem 700 build in .308 in the cadex chassis!

I'm a new member of GRGC trying to complete my 12 shoot and 1 year probation and all I can say is it's exactly the range I was looking for. Fairly close to Mississauga with just a 40 minutes ride and and for the price of Silverdale, you get to have access to an indoor range (up to 50 yards now) plus 7 other ranges including a plate rack for pistols and shotgun. It's also nice to be able to shoot targets other than paper. The only drawback is that they don't have anything further than 100 yards, but I'm fine with that since I probably won't be able to get a decent group with my 7.62 XCR past 100 yards anyways.

Look for a blue FZ6 with a gun case mounted to it haha

El cockblock you should check it out if you have a LTATT. I'm a member of Burlington but with their recent change to their guest policy if I want to shoot with my girls (who aren't members) I'm forced to go to Silverdale. $20 for the day gives us all a chance to shoot and makes for some fun times. The people at Silverdale are always super nice and friendly, it's too bad it's such a track from the GTA.
