We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Hunt. Bow and rifle.

So now added the list of "buy back guns " are 8 guage antique double barrel shotguns . Parker Bros and LeFevere modles not made since the 19th century. They dont talk about Purdey or Holland and Holland . Also now on the list is the Weatherby .460 elephant gun , since we have a lot of those around.
When questioned if anyone has ever committed a crimed with an antique 8 g shotgun the feds replied we dont have access to that data on a national level.

My question is do they have access to any data on any level other than a moms coffee club? what a bunch of Fukwitts

Were these used in a recent movie or series?

The wheels are falling off the liberals plans... it's tastey to watch.
It's become so ridiculous that even to the most rabid gun control advocates it's obvious this so called buy back isn't going to work.
The bans don't work either.
Nothing works.
Well, maybe putting those who use guns to commit crime in jail would work, but... it's easier to go after regular folks.

I’d like to load shotgun , it’s probably going to be sooner than later . I really want consistency which you don’t get from El Cheapo 12g shells .

My policeman neighbour works on the joint Toronto and OPP handgun task force . He’s busy . He’s pretty convinced the current ban has had zero effect expect for pushing up smuggling prices . Same reasons adnauseum we all recite . Next liberal plan to fail? …..

I stand in line to inherit a 10g shotgun , made in London Ont 1850s by no one important . It will never be fired and hang on the wall in my office , unless the feds want to buy it back at “market value” which is probably impossible to determine.
I have a 12g H&R single stamped LongBranch Ont armoury. Which is worth $100bucks , unless you collect military stuff then $250 maybe . No idea who will evaluate this stuff .

I loaded a lot of shotgun shells as a kid. It's cathartic. Mostly for clays. Occasionally you have a brain fart and screw up. Then you need to engage the brain and unwind your mess. Zero tolerance for a double powder shell.

Loading 12ga is more costly than buying Winchester AAs... so, don't buy El Cheapo and you're still ahead.

Before covid a flat AAs (250 rounds) would cost me $60. Last week the lowest price I could find... $135.
Due to the skyrocketing prices on components you can't load 'em yourself for less.

Although components for metallic cartridges have increased greatly in price, loading your own is still cheaper than factory.

Its become as much a supply issue as quality. I can get winchester AA targets for $132 flat , or Challengers for $109. Rio are in the middle at $124, The challengers are pretty dirty. Im often shopping around to find anybody with 1oz light loads , 1 1/8 by the skid but 1oz not so easy . I'm a skeet guy so after 100-125 shells in a morning , that 1/8 makes a difference.
And I'd like to have more control by loading not just a cost consideration, buying randoms gets me anywhere from 1,100 to 1350ft per second , so in a sport where timing is a thing , I need all the help i can get ,

I'm just knocking down steel in IPSC shotgun. So... Not as fussy.
I stick with AAs because they are proven and I just want to look like I'm rich. :)

I still have a backlog of commercial 9mm but am saving the brass and cleaning and prepping it as I go. I bought the dies ages ago and have the projectiles etc. It might be my winter project this year. I’ve been very happy with my .38 spl loads and that’s saved me a fair bit.

Browning has just introduced the 825 series , upgrades from the 725 in the trigger group. So does the 725 go down in price ( doubtful) , the 525 still produced just doesn’t get sold here . I need a 725 20g . Like I need a third testicle. But now there’s an 825 …..life is hard .

Helping an old acquaintance liquidate his gun collection (providing connections, not brokering/buying/selling or anything else that could be verboten). He has some cool stuff. Mostly shooters not fancy guns. Sorry @crankcall, no double barrels. I have zero idea what they're worth. Two of the cool ones are a 303 sniper rifle from WW2 with period correct scope and an armalite floating survival rifle (probably an AR7) that was very lightly used. I'd like him to get as much as possible for them. As a backstop if there are no good buyers, I have a home for them so the cops don't get them.
