Walking Dead (Spoliers)

Re: Walking Dead

It was kind of funny how in the Walking Dead universe the concept of "the Zombie" has never come up before

The fact that 2+ years into this mess and that family doesnt know to aim for the head....like, come on!

So the father dies and you IMMEDIATELY have to leave? In a clapped out cube van that breaks down in a day? Whats the hurry? Gather supplies, a convoy of at least two vehicles giving you a fall back in case of break downs.

Although the episode was refreshing from the flu infected prison, i really dont like the governor character/actor.

Re: Walking Dead

I personally cant stand the governor. Just looking at him makes me want to slice off his head. And yes I agree... Maggie look a like. Maybe he gets caught up on girls he nearly rapes?!?

+1
As I wrote, I stopped watching... had to change the channel... too much stupidity in that episode, and the guy is not likable. Who cares what happens to him? The sooner he's zombified, the better for the show/ story line.

On Sunday I ain't watching because there will be more of this Governor BS....

Re: Walking Dead

<<Yawn>>

I think the writers are hitting a block. Nothing new nowadays

Re: Walking Dead

Just watched the second Governor episode, last night. Not feeling it. Next week's episode is the Governor's tank showing up at the gates of the prison. Meh. If it isn't better than the series has been so far, this season, I'll be dropping it from my viewing list.

An entire season has passed and we're back to where we were half way through season 3. The Guv'na trying to take the prison.. again.. still.

The show is going to 'jump the shark' soon at this rate.

Re: Walking Dead

Walking Dead writer 1 - "Hey, we have this giant tank prop left over from Season 1 that's way too expensive to scrap."

Walking Dead writer 2 - "I know! Let's use it in Season 4.... everyone hates the governor.... but everyone loves a tank!".

The tank will be there and never be used. Standing prop only.

Re: Walking Dead

Not the same tank.

Yea me and my fiancee looked at each other after the "on the next Walking Dead" and kinda had this look on our faces: "Really...."

A tank? LOL, the best is the explanation the army dudes gives....WTF?! Tanks are NOTORIOUS for being maintenance heavy, and that mouth breather aint fixing ****.

One jumped track and it's done. Out of fuel and it's done. Serious engine maintenance (might have two or more) and it's done. In the world of the walking dead you're better off with a few sniper rifles, with big scopes.

If one wanted an armored vehicle that was reliable I would say the Terradyne Ghurka would be my first choice. Still leaves room for a few sniper rifles too. Although I'm going to say that a mix of firearms would be better. I'm going to say a .22LR round would be great for zombies, and a 12 gauge plus a few handguns, and a machete, a few knives and a few pointy sticks.

Boar spears and compound bows make more sense for zombies. No noise to attract more.

I'd prefer a Grizzly but as long as you still have roads, a regular armoured car would make more sense. Be a hell of a lot easier to find one, service it, and find parts for too.

The Ghurka is built on a Ford Superduty chassis!

Quiet weapons are ideal but louder weapons are sometimes a better choice despite the noise.

Interesting.

True enough, but never count out the low tech solution. Knives still kill people after a few tens of millennia.

... and ...

There is no problem that cannot be solved through the proper application of explosives.

They're built in Newmarket. I've been to their production facility, nice stuff! Even more better if you could get one with one of my remote weapons systems on the roof!

Re: Walking Dead

If a 22lr could kill a zombie in this fictional world, then a 22lr with a suppressor and sub-sonic ammo would be ideal. Check out this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31scE1_V2f4 a suppressed 22 is quieter than a pellet gun.

Get a well trained platoon together all with 10/22s and a GSG 110 round drum (which I have never tried, but have read they work very well), and you could clear out a city in a few days.

Re: Walking Dead

I've already got the 1022 but, with my luck, we'd get the ones that run fast and don't have heads made of jelly.

Re: Walking Dead

Season 2 was great, the rest were pretty slow. I haven't watched last 3 or so episodes but I am pretty much done with the series until its finished then maybe on a slow day I will watch it to kill time.

Well this is a thread about TWD, so my choice of weapons is based on non-running zombies with heads that can be bashed in with a cold potato.

Which is why my first choice is boar spear, maybe with two or three other people having the same thing. One holds the walker back, while the others pop it.

Mythbusters did a Walking Dead myth episode and it seems like 50 walkers can go through just about any door that you put in front of them.
