Walking Dead (Spoliers)

Re: Walking Dead

My logic dictates survival of group/self. Your logic dictates survival of civilization. If humans do not survive, civilization does not. On the other hand humans can survive without civilization

Civilization could be as little as maybe a hundred people, to me. That's how you rebuild. You've got to maintain some basic values to do that, though.

Axe.... sword.... bow.... knives.... I'm covered. If only my rifle had a bayonet mount, 'cause I've got one of those too.

I think he'd start chowing down on computer motherboards.

Why does no one mention spears? A sharp point and you keep that at distance, win win. Axe, sword, knives, all to close for me.

Long wood shaft. Seems a high risk of breaking. I dont want to stab at a zombie and him break the spear when he collapses and then have to deal with 20 more with a short wood stick. I want something more sturdy and a metal shaft might be too heavy to wield efficiently.

Got to get close, to kill 'em. Still, a good boar spear would do a good job of holding one.

Maybe that's why I always think of a spear, I have one. A quick jab to the head and they're done. No need to go breaking it.

Re: Walking Dead

My first thought when I learned they become walkers is what if one of them dies and noone else knows. For example the old dude has a heart attack in his sleep. Or the chic that froze up in shock what if she has a panic attack and stops breathing.
This would be my concern. I would be locking myself into my room at night.

Separate beds, handcuffs, we're all safe

Try to get it out when it's wedged in the skull bone. That's why I'd prefer a blunt instrument. A hammer would do the trick quite nicely against creatures that don't block strikes. A halligan is another option and it can be used when searching houses.

Re: Walking Dead

Laser pointers......zombies only have primal instincts....smell, sight, hearing. Blind them with laser pointers and spray calvin klein on all of them so they smell like humans (douchey humans)...then watch them eat each other.

Why don't they eat each other by the way? They don't depend on each other for hunting etc so there's no reason why they wouldn't eat each other is there?

Re: Walking Dead

So....who's going to die next episode? Any bets?

Farmer's daughter. She's gotta be toast.

Rob - disagree. Her & Glen's relationship has some traction still. *edit* unless you mean the chick who tried to kill herself - that's a pretty good bet.

Hershel's my bet. Or the old bat whose daughter occupied the first 1/2 of the season. Wouldn't be missed in the least.

Re: Walking Dead

Im wondering if Shane got infected from Rick's knife that he was using to stab zombies in the face with in the "18 Miles Out" episode. Also if Randall got infected when Daryl was cutting his leg with the same knife he was chopping off zombie ear's with.

I think it's something environmental - you die, you become a zombie. That's it, that's all. Some have suggested that's what Mr. CDC may have said to Rick in season 1. That or your wife is pregnant and it's not yours ;)

Re: Walking Dead

All of Hershel's family is getting killed off save for Maggie

I don't think T-dog and Carol are going to make it

Nope, Glen's girl. He needs to build up his "tortured hero" shtick.

I'm still convinced that everyone is infected, but they only 'turn' when they die. Since most die by zombie attack, they think that it's zombie bites that infect them. Two people turned in the last episode, without being bitten, so I think that's right out the window.

Prob cus the blood no longer fresh. The body starts rotting. Its not like we have a timeline anyways. For example the zombies will chew on a body for say 2 hours then start hunting for fresh meat. We have no idea how long a body is good for them as food.

They had two big deaths, think they are going to hold off for a while. Heck three. They cant dwindle the crew too much. Whos gonna watch two people bitching about survival for an hour?

I wonder about the baby. Would it be alright or something ****ed up about it because of it being conceived in this ****ed up world.

Re: Walking Dead

I thought shane got infected when we went to get the antibiotics for the kid? When he came back he was looking at a cut on the top of his head.
