victim of Road Rage, hit and run by a coworker, how should I handle this?

Guy #1 has a pattern of progressive rants which led him to using his truck to damage my bike. Is this a traffic matter or a criminal matter?
My guess is the company will talk to the guy and the matter will be done with. Fine by me. Yeah, I could have been a pussy. Involving the police is like amputatating an arm because of a scratch on the finger. I have contained the situation. I rode my bike today, business as usual.

You should have called the cops after the first verbal threat they take threats to life serious. Telling someone you are going to run them off the road the next time is a threat to life...

This story sounds like total bs btw and the fact you didn't call the cops after being hit on purpose makes this story more unbelievable.

Only a retard would report an accident and tell insurance for something trivial. My fender has a small piece broken off. Do I really need to fix it, not really; So I haven't. Now, going forward when I get quotes I don't have to mention this, and I won't. To bad, so sad, get over it.
As for guy #1 his fire chief knows of the situation.
The company has an account of the matter.
At the very least he will be required to steer clear of me, good.

And to OP, as per the police not being able to do anything... that may be true.
Here's an alternate take on the boy who cried wolf. Instead, nobody believed him at first, but soon more people started to cry wolf, and more attention was drawn to the possibility that there actually was one.
Anyone can accuse someone of something that's totally bs, but the more people who file reports, the more likely it usually seems to be true and that's when things get done about it. You don't have to, and shouldn't necessarily expect them to be able to do anything about your single report, but if it's there, it only helps the chances.
Considering what supposedly happened, I'm dumbfounded as to how you expect this SHR (Super Human Resources) to resolve this in a fair manner. I can accept being injured/killed by freak accidents, natural disasters, end of the world..etc... but not stupid ****biting mother******* like that.

Where's the proof, it's here say unless things can be substatiated. The police will accomplish nothing but waste more of my time and energy on this matter. The point of HR is to no longer hear his rants and continued threats. Simple as that.

We call them Social IED's where I work. You probably have another name for them but it's the same thing. They don't get that name for the things the don't do.
For whatever reasons OP thinks that reporting to police will also involve insurance. oh well - there was so many people trying to give good advice but some people just won't hear what they don't want to her.
