Would you be ok with someone being drunk doing it? You want drunk cops? Drunk paramedics?

This is the kind of argument that defies logic and is simply used as a silly argument without any actual thought put into it.

Obviously no one would want anyone to be impaired at work, and most people would lose their jobs if they showed up to work drunk. Why can it not be the same for weed?

Why can't i smoke legally on the weekend instead of having a drink and then go back to work on monday sober, well rested and relaxed?

And there are people who know nothing about it but simply have been told their whole lives that its bad and you'll become a junkie, and they buy this nonsense up.

But the **** i get from pharmacies who have 40 side effects including liver damage and possible death are ok...what a ****ed up world we live in

This is what I don't get tho. I know to many stoners (ok, just 2) who hide their usage from their teenage kids.

Nope I wouldnt, which is the whole point of this thread, the guy was smoking while in uniform/on the job. If he was drinking Id think the punishment was required also. What people do at home has no bearing on the topic really.

do what i say, not as i do....

as parents we do lots of things wehope our kids dont.. swearing, for one. smoking, toking, drinking...etc..

i try to limit all of it in front of Kids.. sometimes swearing happens, but never toking

well, I think the point is that if it's so good for you, why hide it? responding to post about people who know nothing.....stoners would know the most about pot, yes?

It was prescribed by a doctor, he has permission to purchase it and consume it.

What seems to be the problem?

Thats like firing someone because they took the morning after pill and you dont believe in it. ridiculous

I dont think children suffer from the types of things adults do... like ptsd, or stress of any kind.

but i wouldnt use that as a defence, I just dont do it in front of the kids...

Is there a reason why alcohol is legal, mind altering, and takes many lives but its legal. Marijuana has not reported any lives other than maybe people thatvdo it under the influence and operate machinery. Why is alcohol legal and pot not? No way to tax it.
