TV shows currently watching

I cut the cord a couple of years back and now stream and aerial from Clarington.

What am I watching? Well, over the air "McHale's Navy" and its wildly racist content is bringing me great laughs!

"I Dream of Jeannie" is restoring the spontaneous erections of my teen years.

And, of course, BBC and ITV are providing me all of the shows you lot shall be streaming in six months to a year. But they are all shyte. I still binge watch the fifteen year old "Still Game".

I mentioned my best pal died last week? Watch that programme, and it is like being a fly on the wall when we were together.

The other show to check out is "Scot Squad".

But, to be serious, a series you lot may actually understand and enjoy is called "Shetland". BBC. ******* fantastic.

Anyone started S2 of House of Dragon? Watched the first episode last night. Pretty much what you’d expect. Sex, treachery, revenge and dragons.

Just found ‘Long Way Round’ on AppleTV.

And here I was worried I’d get a solid night of sleep…

Segue from Operation Mincemeat
Interesting as making use of WWII in colour and that makes for a much more immediate experience.
This is fully a documentary - no re-actments afaik. Incorrect they have Hitler actor and recreated early scenes of his rise along with early influences - artist etc.

Thanks I forgot this was coming out soon!

Just finished watching season 3 of Mr Inbetween. The show is brilliant and doesn't fall off each season like most shows do. Might be a bit biased but the characters and dialog are very genuine, doesn't feel acted out, it's just the way aussies talk to each other in real life. I recommend it.

Bodkin took a while to get going but worth it....from the Obamas too. (y)
Good assessment.

Bodkin review – a funny Irish thriller for Only Murders in the Building fans[/b]

It takes a while to find its groove, but this tale of American true-crime podcasters who travel to Cork in search of cases – from the Obamas’ production company – is well worth sticking with

Massive Engineering Mistakes

DocumentaryReality-TV
Massive engineering mistakes some of which have devastating outcomes occur across the globe, and are assessed by design teams, eyewitnesses and experts who analyze what went wrong and how engineers are fixing them.
On Prime - this is fascinating and one of the events is the Kinzua Bridge which lots of us have seen.

They list something like 6 seasons, but only 2 are available. I watched all that I could and found out that I'd been on several of the bridges in Washington State, that they depicted. At least their replacements.

We just finished watching The Bear, taken from suggestions here. It was really good. Great acting all around. I don’t know how they could have retakes of some of the yelling scenes. I have a friend who is a chef and she says that’s the culture of most great places. Wow. Glad the kid shared his Disney + account with us.

"Shetland" was good but my gawd I could never live there. Fog, rain, drizzle repeat.

Do not repeat do not bother with "Leave the world behind" a movie with Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke.
It just plods along to an end that resolves nothing.

EDIT: sorry that should be in movies...

That sucked for sure. I think less of Julia Roberts after that too 😂😂 and Teslas

Binge time - 3 Seasons
Looks like the Viking ship building industry has been busy.

Damn - excellent 4k HDR feed. I've seen the first season before but not in 4k and really enjoying it especially the visuals.
