Trump Guilty

Unlikely, at best. The Republicans currently control all three branches of government and no one in the party seems to really want to call him on his crap, when it matters.
The military swears an oath to uphold the constitution, not buckle under to anyone that considers themselves the emperor. And if he were to do something REALLY stupid and call out the troops they are well within those rights to ignore him.

Who gets to determine if an executive order for tariffs is unconstitutional? I can't see military getting involved. If he directed them to genocide blue states, I assume they would ignore him.

He doesn't need to call out the military for anything. On top of that the majority of those in the military, and in the various levels of law enforcement, are also Republican Party supporters.

Equals civil war. Even he wouldn't want that, would he ?

It’s the loudest saber rattling yet . And our reaction is full retardant, Dougie wants to kick Mexico out of NAFTA , Jameet wants to know “ where is the war room?” We must fight like hell. What a measured embarrassment.

The sad fact is that we do not have a single party leader that could keep it together enough to competently manage a busy fast food joint for a year better yet a country for four years.

At this point I put nothing past him. After all, he tried to remain in the White House after he lost an election, didn't he? Sparked a riot/insurrection in order to do so.

Didn't he tell people to protest peacefully?

If that's what you think, then you really need to watch the video of his "rally."
It's not about what I think. What exactly did he say. Isn't this what matters?

Words matter, so do intonation and actions. He told supporters to March to the capital and "fight much harder". Not a clean "attack" but getting pretty close.

Here's a decent summary of things he said that could easily get the gullible to break laws for their hero.

However, Mr Trump's lawyers have argued his use of the word "fight" was figurative, which has long been accepted in public discourse.

'Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard'

Yes, that is one of the things he said. He also told a hoard of gun toting mouth breathers to "fight like hell", "stop the steal" and "never give up". If I tell a hoard to attack and end my speech with "just kidding", that doesn't absolve me of responsibility. With great power comes great responsibility. When you are leading an angry mob you need to choose your words carefully to avoid inciting them and you ending up responsible for the outcome.

If i told the Union of Postal Workers to 'go to Ottawa and fight much harder' would we expect them to scale the ramparts?

I think it's getting hmmm..not overblown..let's say 'negative' connotation because they were his supporters and he was disputing the election results. For all the bluster and fear mongering over Trump taking over the country he left the white house just as the law said he must. I haven't read anything about him being dragged out of the oval to do it. But more importantly the law doesn't say he has to go quietly.

He could have absolutely done more and should have done better.

Excepting the laws of common decency and decorum. Plus it looks kind of "presidential", not something he was ever good at.

Trump actually used the word "stolen" to refer to the election results. "Stop the steal."

If anyone wants to sit through his entirety of his rally, CSPAN has the whole thing online. Trump's own speech starts at around the 3:30 mark, but it's also worth listening to the other speakers. Giuliani especially. Trump praises him as "doing a great job", rather than walking back any of his comments, or qualifying them.

Don't be surprised if he starts pardoning the Jan 6 rioters shortly after he gets in the office.
IMO.. doing that would means he did and does support what happened at the capitol.
