Toronto Police Services Unmarked Vehicles

Hi Have seen the black ram have someone pulled over in Etobicoke and also a black sprinter near square one. No ghost markings on these vehicles and stock wheels make them invisible.

The Halton Ram has steelies. It's the only tell.

They don't use any Canadian cars.
That may be true for Ford and GM, but in the past big forces would stipulate Canadian built cars in the contract.
They used to do regular runs of police pack Caprices at St Therese, PQ and the Ford LTD/Crown Vics came out of Windsor.
Dodge Charger and 300 police packs are made in Brampton TODAY for North America distribution. Lots of them on the road.
Are they currently building anything in Canada that could be used as a police car other than a Dodge?

He is great, I check his feed every couple days. Always getting cellphone users and modified cars, unsecure loads etc.

I'm starting to wonder if the province will consider mandatory/annual inspection on vehicles soon.
On car forums, US enthusiasts state that some of their states have these mandatory inspections where they inspect emissions, tires, exhaust systems, wiper blades etc. periodically.

Looks like most of these vehicles fail a lot of these items when they get pulled over for speeding and noise.
But even if they do mandate periodic inspections - I think families and/or individuals out there that are struggling to make ends meet will get hit the most if their vehicles get flagged for issues..

Maybe it should be a welcome change...if folks complained about loud exhausts then might as well throw the net out and screen everything lol.
Good revenue as well...

Does anyone remember why those emissions tests were done away with a few years ago?

Emissions tests are no longer required?

great! when did this happen? I thought I got one done for my truck not that long ago? I always found it interesting that vehicles had to have emissions tests and planes, cruise ships etc are not an issue.

I've personally been pulled over by PRP who were driving a white dodge ram with white decals, very hard to read unless you are right beside it. I have also seen a new nissan altima pulling over a vehicle on dixie rd beside the canada post.

Unmarked police vehicles 🤯 I'm offended ...😭😭😭😭😭 waaaaaaaa...waaaaaaa. that should fix the problem...maybe a protest or better yet a snowflake riot...please make sure you bring your cell phone for footage replay on social media, ge wiz..did I cover all the bases ?

Since April 1, 2019, Ontario drivers are no longer required to get Drive Clean emissions tests for their light passenger vehicles, however emissions standards still apply to all vehicles. On-road enforcement officers ensure compliance with these standards. Heavy diesel commercial motor vehicles continue to require an emissions test.

Our new enhanced emissions testing program focuses on the biggest polluters on our roads, such as commercial trucks and buses, to protect Ontario’s air quality.
