Oh, I see what you are saying. At first I thought you meant you only go with the original creator of motorcycles, and I thought you implied that was Harley. The first mass produced bikes were Triumphs, followed a year or two later by Royal Enfield, Norton, etc, Harley was a few years after that.
Anyway, I agree with the ride what you like
sentiment. I don't care if people like Harleys, but I do try to dispel some of the myths they hold on to.
My brother is a Harley guy, and so are his buddies. They think my V-strom is going to implode before it reaches 60000km because it has a high revving (to them) Japanese engine. Then I told them about V-Tom having over 200000km on his Vstrom, and they are sure I am lying -- to them there is no way a Japanese bike can go that many kms without being rebuilt many times.
Saying that... I think Harleys look a lot better than my V-strom -- I have never really been a big fan of the V-stroms looks, but I do appreciate its functionality. I also never want chrome anything, because I am far too lazy to keep it polished.
