Lol... I didn't want to be the *** and point this out, but it seems that she has better form/function.
mma01 was killing it from what I see, nice video.
I told mm01 he was a bully lol :)

Mm01 showed me that video this afternoon, Jamie, Xtina body position is better than yours man and judging by your position you wouldn't have a clue on what kind of advice to give her, I want to like you but you talk so much crap, jessss lol
I find it hard to use the proper body position when following someone that is going much slower than my intended pace. When behind a slow rider I just sit on the seat, not hang off at all until ready to pass and continue my pace, lol!

Her body position before my advice:

My legs were totally shot after the track school on Sat, and my broken leg is only at about 60% strength to begin with! What was I thinking booking two back to back? Like I said, sacrifice a little body position and ride anyway!

Alright, so my rear shock is totally shot (says Donald/toastman). Probably why it's so scary over the bumps when I'm on the throttle :)

Looks like bluestreak has the best price anywhere on Elka shocks, for my bike: http://bluestreakracing.ca/yzf-r1-04-08-yzf-r6-06-12-rear-unit.html

Some guy named John (Accelerated Technologies?) that lives in the absolute middle of nowhere said he'll install it for me, set it up for me, and re-valve and change the fluid in my front forks too, all for a crazy deal!!

Can't wait to try it on the bumps again :)

Example of me sitting on my seat :p

Just kidding, you did pretty well for a broken body and your 2nd day on the track.

Thanks man :) I wanted to push really hard, but I couldn't put hardly any weight on the pegs, my legs were SO done :(

Do you have tire warmers? I tried to follow you the first lap out for our session but man, you just spanked it right from the start!!! lol. I usually go 50% first lap and 80% second lap, just in case!!

No tire warmers, I just ride 60% in the first lap then pick up the pace from there.

That would be John Sharrard. He lives up near the 507.

He's probably referring to Donald from Platinum Powersports ... I didn't see John at TMP when I was there.

Yep, that's the guy! Great news is, I get to test out my new suspension right away!! lol.

Just to clarify, Donald from Platinum was at TMP and set up my suspension, and said my rear shock wasn't doing anything at all.

I googled for Elka shocks and John's name kept coming up over and over so I sent him an e-mail and he replied to me 30 seconds later from his blackberry :)

So, John is going to get me all fixed up :D

Can't wait!!

And a random pic of the girl that crashed, well, the hole in her frame anyway :(

I wish I knew that the suspension guy was at the track. The suspension on my 600 is WACK. I hit a bump leaned over and the bike wants to throw me off.

Was that on your 600RR?

Yeah, they (Donald from Platinum Powersports) set it up for $20. It was night and day for me after. Before, when I was hard on the front brakes, then let them go, the bike would pop back up so fast it'd almost pick the front tire up!

He said he couldn't do anything much for my rear. On the bumps in turn 1 it skips sideways about 3 times and the bump going onto the front straight it just does one big skip. As long as I'm not on the throttle it doesn't step out far enough to cause a problem.

Ya it was the 600rr. If I took turn 1 fast or through the middle line, the bike would start hopping everywhere and I'd end up scraping the pegs from the bike bouncing around. As someone mentioned "It was only a matter of time before you're going to have a spectacular crash" and at that point I made the decision to go back to the 125.

LoL at first i thought you were being sarcastic. I'd do a quick little google search before you go to see John just so you understand the full magnitude of who you're bringing your stuff to (as in be quiet and soak in absolutely everything he has to say).

Also going to suggest as a novice track rider you dont give riding suggestions to anyone. Her body positioning is actually worse in the second picture, and you dont have any idea why. Track days always have control riders, if she needs someone to give her advice send her to one of them, they're usually happy to pace for a few laps and give advice.

Is your 600RR street legal? If it is we should plan a ride out to John's together :)

Yes, both my 125 and 600 are street bikes. I'll have to decide when I want to do it....busy these days.

I'm riding my bike to him the morning of Wed Sept 19th, so you got lots of time to prep :)
