Long enough to stick it in? LOL
Any of you guys read "The Game"? It's about the birth of the pickup culture (which incidentally started in Toronto) but it's NOT a pick up book. It's a story about a bunch of guys and their experiences. At the end of the book, the author gets REALLY good at picking up women and getting in their pants using various routines but realizes it's an empty pursuit in the end and chooses to date the one girl that his "routines" didn't work on. I read the book when I was like 20 years old back in University. Moral of the story is that you can learn all the "techniques" to pick up women but at the end of the day she will want you cause of your routines and you'll never know if she's actually into YOU or just been dazzled by your "Game". As a result, you'll never be fulfilled.
SOME of the general principles taught by pick up artists are good. Be confident, don't be needy, be funny, etc. and it doesn't hurt to try and assimilate some of these principles into your self/your life in a slow, organic way, but the actual lines, routine, etc. No thanks. I prefer being myself and find the girls that like that rather than to change myself so I appeal to every woman. I might not have as many "good dates" or get laid as much but at the end of the day I think I'll end up happier. Just my 2 cents.
