Similar. My first though was that they resemble the 200, 300 and Dart headlights.

The Audis had lights like that before the 200, 300. Its funny also that the Mustang also had a pattern like the Angel eyes. A trademark of bmw
I don't read much into these things. Honestly there's so many models and designers out there, there's bound to be similarities. Some of them coincidental, some of them copied. I always thought the new Santa Fe looked like it should be the new Escape.
But those headlights are almost a direct duplicate of and Audi out there. About 5 yrs back. I'll let NFQ and FMJ comment. I can't be mistaken, I've seen them on the road.
Even though I won't get a german luxury car now, I must admit they excel at innovation in certain areas. I've never seen a german luxury car which look like another brand.
...well except the BMW e90 looks like a Honda accord
