Looks like Panerai has been taking modernist styling cues from Unimatic on that one, especially with the chunky indices. Not totally my cuppa, but cool to see them pushing the limits and not just doing the hundredth Luminor variation...This new Panerai is ingenious. 4 of the 6 barrels drive a generator that powers the electric lume. The other 2 give 3 days of power reserve for the hands. I like the look of the ceramic Ti coating. Too big, but cool, none the less.

I like the walk in desk method best. I like to meet the people I'm dealing with, and I always learn something. Trekking to Brampton presents another dimension to the experience. Likely, not a good one.Somal out of Brampton is good. Have bought ETA movements, Kinetic batteries, tools and such from them, no issues. Their ordering involves some order + wait for stock confirmation emails, but they're solid. They do have a walk-in desk, as well.

That's the plan. We'll see how it goes. Most of these were exceedingly cheap as I assume the learning curve will involve some sacrifices.@GreyGhost Do you repair them yourself?
I sincerely hope you never need to measure artillery fire , here at home . But the thunderstorm thing is friggin cool.
I love a good vintage-styled chrono. Was admiring a Longines Avigation Big Eye the other day while being a cliché husband and killing time waiting for my wife to finish shopping in Mapleview Mall. Enjoy that, it'll be fun.Don't hate me because I am beautiful, but my wife bought me this today. Keeping me in the lifestyle I am accustomed to, but no where near as baller as others here.

Just a phone pic.. Now I can measure the distance to enemy artillery with a watch (Telemetre), a practical hole in the collection filled. The outer scale measures the distance between something you can see (flash) and something your can hear (speed of light vs speed of sound). Also works for thunderstorms.
I was shocked at how remarkably hard it was to find a store with it in stock (or that carried it at all), had to haul out to CF Markville. Such is B&M today.

Frick, it was horrible. He kept dropping the price on the Longines to where I had to almost physically grab myself by the neck and drag myself out of there. We're looking at picking up a travel trailer, so more watches aren't in the cards right now.Moments = boutique tax
