The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

I noticed some of that crap yesterday when we turned left at Breslau...

So I put the bike partially together and clutched it up the driveway a bunch of times, no hesitations. Hopefully that means it's fixed. The plugs that came out weren't even the right type!

Just curious is there any place around k-w where bikes meet like once a week or something at a tims to shoot the ****?

If all you want to do is hang out and chat, the Tim Horton's on Ottawa St. between Weber and King St usually has a ton of bikes just sitting around hanging out.
Our group "functions" are usually show up, 10 minutes grace from appointed time and ride.

None of us are pretty enough to pose. Tim Horton's managers make us leave because we scare away good looking coffee drinkers. ;)

So I put the bike fully back together, and took it for a rip around the block. MUCH improved! No hesitation/missing in the bottom end now. I was able to bog it down to 2000 in 2nd and crank on it with no bogging. Gave it a twist in 1st and the front end came up much easier than yesterday, very nice. As soon as I turned onto Bleams I realised I'd forgotten to put the mirrors on! haha... then realised I'd forgotten my wallet and my registration. So the ride was quite short.

Nevermind the wallet lol the ride was probably short because its a little chilly as well? Glad its working better!

some of you were curious about the tires I deal with.

Heres a video of the plant I was at last week in illinios. We were featured on a show called Modern Marvels

check it out http://youtu.be/V1VaR-cgv-M

I also deal with 18 wheeler tires and here are the dangers of inflating a run flat commercial truck tire (NWS Language)

Interesting?

Glad you got it all fixed up, I bet it was cold.

That's pretty cool how that's made.

I bet a tire blowing like that could kill. Scary stuff.

...

Speak for yourself Dave...have u seen my avatar? I should post the full pic, my head on the Subaru Sumo body.

Just a heads up boys and gals. Coming to work this morning noticed they have been dumping more brine and liquid on the roads in and around St Jacobs. The round about was particularly bad.

Ride safe out there.

Ya, noticed this morning too. It looks like they sprayed again on the way home too. Only on turns and high spots though.

I saw a lot of dried brine stripes on 7&8 and 85 today (from Trussler Rd. to St Jacob's Market exit). Looks like they're dumping their supply for this year...

7 going into Guelph has the white centre strips as well. Not to bad though.

The cops would have let you off with the no mirrors and just probably stook you with the HTA 172 and no documents charges anyway :D

I have also now got my bike running. It was idleing fine the whole time i just forgot what way the choken went and flooded the engine. 44 dollars worth of plugs later its running like a champ.

BTW anyone wanna buy a K&N airfilter for the 98+ KAT 600, 700? You can have it for a 10 dollar tim hortons card. Just needs to be re-oiled with one of the KN rejuvination kits.

So riding to work now is bad? oh well...

I'm with you, I rode in yesterday and realized as soon as I got on the highway I forgot to connect my heated grips when I put my bike back together and it was a cold one but today I just drove the truck, A little to cold for a 1/2 down the highway at 6am.
