How are the roads today regarding the brime situation?

went down to wellsley yesturday, there was a pile of it on the main roads, but didn't seem to affect traction signifcantly, roads seemed pretty clean otherwise

That sucks... I hate constantly waiting on parts.

Damn this weather... I want to take my bike for a proper test. Maybe tomorrow if it actually gets up to 6° I'll bundle up and go for a short rip.

Damn this weather...

I hear you, took my bike to Zdeno's to get my tires installed at noon, they said they would be done in an hour, hour and a half later my bike was still there untouched, Told them to hurry as the snow was going to come, Get the call at 5:30 that its done and snowing FML, So I just took it to down the street to my moms and left it there. Way to risky, especially with new tires.

Two50noob - What rubber nuts you need and how many? I think I may have a couple Wellnuts around here if I can find them.

Question for the gang...

If your rolling in first gear with the clutch pulled in and blip the throttle, is it normal to feel your bike jolt? I notice that my bike does this the odd time. I think Jeff and I briefly discussed this before. Clutch adjustment needed??

Do you also find it a bit difficult to put it in neutral when stopped with it running? Could be you have too much free play at your lever (simple adjustment), or maybe warped clutch plates (that would also cause non-smooth clutching out from a stop).

That's awesome... yet another shop that says what's needed to get the bike in their shop them doesn't deliver...

I bought tires from them a couple times years ago and it was a clusterf*ck everytime. When I didn't go there for tires, it was the same terrible service. So I stopped going there. I do tire changes myself, they are always done right and on time that way :) The tools are only about $20 and you can make a wheel balancer out of 2x4's by stripping the grease out of ball bearings from princess auto for about $10.

What do you use to break the bead?

usually 2 x C-clamps and some dish soap does the trick without compromising the tire

$2.00 bead breaker.Never scratched a rim this way.I use this on my Hyper's forged Marchesini's too.Nobody is touching them with a changer.Dishsoap works well enough, but if you are careful not to get it on the tire surface,WD40 really makes the job easy.Really!

Sometimes when trying to find neutral, it will pop in and out...like its chattering. That doesn't happen too often though. I will have to check the manual and see how much free play I got.

The weather is looking like crap this week, anyone interested in a pub night? I was thinking Duke of Wellington, Wed around 7, let me know if anyone is interested.

That's awesome LOL i would have never ever thought of that. But I do understand was at Zedenos today and watched them work on a bike. Scary!!

Nice breaker. Then you use tire irons to get the new tire on?
Yup.I'm not as tough as Recip.I think he uses his teeth. It's really all about technique.I have a pair of new Q2's that need to go on the Muffin. If anyone wants to see a demo, let me know.
