Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

bwahahahah!!... We should go! Do you think I'd get the crap kicked out of me if I wore my full race leathers?

Not if you drag a knee on them :D

My brake lines didn't arrive so I won't be able to get out this weekend... the bike is back together with the MX bars though, ready to go except for front brakes. Trimmed the windscreen down this morning. Looks pretty good actually. I'll post up a picture later.

Looks good like that compared to the straight across cut most people do.

Let me know how those grips feel, I was going to get those but wasn't sure if the heat from my grip warmers would radiate through them enough.

I got the Harris "CBR" grips from Royal instead but they are really firm compared to the old grips.

Yeah, since I'm trying to make it a supersport touring bike I wanted to keep as much of the screen as possible. I may end up with an aftermarket touring screen at some point but I'll see how the stock one feels with the high bars.

I had the same grips on my Aprilia last year and they were great. I did a couple of pretty long rides and one 2000km 4 day trip with them, no issues. They are very grippy with riding gloves so you can keep a very light grip on the throttle which is nice. $19.99 at Zdeno

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I'm so upset that I didn't get my brake lines in time for this weekend... boy I hope I get a second chance. Looks like on-and-off rain this week.

It looks like it's going to be a nice morning but there's a 60% chance of rain starting at 4:00pm. The people I'm meeting in Burlington are on the fence right now..... I think they're going to wait until tomorrow morning to make a decision.
Friggin' pansies from Toronto!

what time are we meeting in the morning and where ?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Still 9:00 at York Rd and Victoria Rd Timmies. Although the 3 other people from Toronto pussed out because it might rain.... I'm still wanting to go, but I don't think it's worth it to go alone.
I sent you a PM with my number.
