The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Hey guys, I know it's super short notice, but I'm going to Milton to hook up with the Milton riders tomorrow morning. They meet at Bronte and Derry at 8:00, ride at 8:30. Anybody want to join me? I'm planning to leave from Fischer-Hallman and Ottawa area at about 7:15.

45 minutes to get to Milton from your place??!? Must be on the slow bus.... ;)
Might see you on the way or there.. depends on how this evening progresses (boys' night out).

p.s. Babs is running like a beast today. Still love her rumble and handling. Will be a sad day to see her go.
On a side note - in a moment of love/weakness/stupidity, I placed a bid on an HPE exhaust for her. Brand new. Retails for about $1500. Not many views, so I may get it for a steal. Who knows... can always sell it to a friend of a friend who has an 1125r too....

haha... you're crazy, man ;) It's a horrible addiction, eh?

Yes, 45 minutes to get there. SV = Slow Vehicle. I need an orange triangle sign for the back. I'm planning to go south on Guelph Line from the 401 and then head across Derry, so it will take a bit more time.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Bike accident right outside my complex. On Erb going towards Lancaster, lanes are blocked off and bike is in the bush. Hope the rider is alright.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Short notice, but if anyone wants to head to the Forks of the Credit, 2 other guys and I are heading out - meet at the usual place (Timmy's at University/Bridge), 11am.

Later!

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Hey Tim, glad to hear you're back in the game... I stopped by your place yesterday with my CB - (full vintage squid mode: t-shirt, british pudding bowl helmet - it was awesome!) to bad I missed the forks ride, looks like it was good.

Dave, how were the Milton folks... - 49 over..?

I'll be heading out later for a rip - anyone interested?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Tim, you had never done Forks before? Crazy. Have you ever been down to Snake Rd in Waterdown?

Dean, Milton guys ride was okay. A few of them were +100 on Hockley Rd, but I was like, whatever, I'm doing +30 and carry on. haha...

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Yeah Dave, was my first time. Lots of fun for sure! I guess that'll have to be my "Dragon" for the year.
Uploading another video now that has a better pace. Taking for freaking ever though - 10 hours for a 1080p video using DSL. :confused1:

Sorted out the noise vibration on the GoPro in case you didn't notice on that video. I cut up a couple of foam earplugs, put one slice in the front of the casing and 1 on each of the sides - also put a strip of electrical tape over the "slot" on the mount. Dont' know which fixed the noise, but both work, so that'll be the plan from now on.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

They do frequent noise testing in Belfountain and cops are there all the time so Forks is not really the best place to play, unfortunately...

Yeah I noticed the video was better. That's great that you got it sorted out.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

They had signs for noise testing there, but nobody doing any of it... some guy was there with an old Suzuki 2 Stroke Square 4 engine... had it tested a while back, said it was something ridiculous like 118 dB at 5K rpm. Eeps!

At any rate, here's another video - from the bottom of the forks to the top (twice).

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Suzuki RG500 Gamma! Awesome! Yeah, that's friggin' loud.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Nice vids Tim

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Anybody riding tonight if it dries up?

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I'm going to try my best to be there......
I think I've only made it out one other time this year because something undoubtedly comes up.
Here's hoping for tonight!

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Seems like there isn't a whole lot of interest this week, and honestly I'm not feeling much into it today either...

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

Hey guys,

I'm going to be out tonight - as long as it stays dry. I got the Triumph fixed yesterday, but I've been digging riding the CB - reminds me of being 16 again. I'll check the post before I head out, and probably just spin by Tims to see if anyone else likes to ride....:)

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I will swing by if it is dry and I feel like riding.

Re: The Official 2011 Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread.

I was thinking about going for a bit of a spin tonight. Won't be doing anything until at least 7:30 though and that's probably too late (to join in with the group, that is).

Hey, were you just at Apex tonight too?
