The Official Ongoing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas thread

Hey Jer...
What's the report on the new tires on the SV?

Only been out once since. Love them. They hold the road great. The profile on them makes "tipping" the bike into turns a breeze. Scary confidence in them :)

They're suppose to be decent in the rain but I try not to do much of that lol

Sent from my iPhone. (not while I was riding)

PS lots of YouTube vids on them now

Why not take that confidence and join us at tmp ... Put on your big boy pants and do it. No more excuses.

The only excuse is money. I can't afford both right now. I have another ticket going to trial soon and don't have the funds for both track and street.

Who would love a shot at putting your ego in check ;) ;1:13/lap if I remember right?)

Remember where you came from. For someone riding less than 6 months I'm not doing to bad. How long did u tide street before going track? ..... Mmm

1:13 on TMP!? Settin' lap records first time there, eh? haha

Jer, what tires did you get again, S-20's?

Lol record? Lol shows how's much I've paid attention to the boasting lol

Ya the new S20r. Pretty impressed. Be curious to see how they mile out as well. But a lot of factors preventing an apples to apples comparison lol

Nice, those are supposed to be a sporty/tracky tire. ;)

I never put track times up for tmp. Slowly learning that smooth is fast and lap times don't really count for nothing at this stage in my (track day ) career lol.

FYI I have no ego at the track ( except vs tim lol) you don't need a decked out track bike just some tape and 150 ish bucks and your in. I apologize if my comment came across the wrong way ( you seem to have took it with a little malice). The track is awesome and it will improve your street riding 100%. Yes a track school is ideal .... But with the guys we were out with yesterday in green you would have no problems fitting in. One of our "red" riders would prolly show u a few things to make the transition easier.

I never said u were doing bad and I will always remember where I came from.

So stop being mr pissy pants .. I'm
Not Tim who constantly bombards you with negative ( yet amusing) comments.

Keep calm and chive on ... Princess ... Lmao

The red rider. Talking about randy or Dave? If so of course. That's who's taught me most if my street riding. Lol

Anyway I'll track soon enough once the funds are there. I'm not using my Street SV for the track. I'll wait till either I sell it or buy a track ready bike.

I don't have the time or the resources to be converting all the time.

On that note

Jer takes it how I mean it... all in biting humour.
But, I guess I'll keep it all unicorns and marshmellows from now on. :sad1:

I can get the CBR track ready in 45 minutes and 20 to get it street ready, but that includes using different sprockets and tires. If all your adding is tape and taking off mirrors, 20 minutes, your ready.

Most fun you ever had, like they say at pro6, there is no fast and slow "we are all fast", green group a bit above road speed, and some guys, under road speed. Not everyone drives quite a lunatic as dave and I do. Everyone to their own pace, there are no winners, except those that go home with their bike in 1 piece

you need to sell it to the g/f as a cost saving measure. If you go to the track, you won't be as inclined to speed and get tickets, which means your really saving money/time/court dates by going to the track.

pitch it like that :D

Coming off the ramp or getting onto the ramp? I didn't know where Dean was going so that's my excuse. LOL

Group ride last night?

Naa, just a last minute "Hey, what are you up to? Let's get out for a ride." thing.
