Name your price. At some level I'm going to say it's too high. Then what? Can I leave or will you just kill me and take it? I'm not "rich" now but I sure take it up the *** at tax time and still get threats from people like you guys.
Nice false dichotomy. I don't ignore the sick. You do. You're trying to grab my wallet while I'm trying to keep my family healthy. Really. If someone else is such a ****** person that they're family won't even take responsibility for them, no amount of money will solve your problem. We've been trying for all my life and well back several generations. So yes, **** em. The grievance hustlers have been raising taxes for decades with this silly argument with no results.
Non homogeneous examples please.
It turns pretty quick when there's resistance. History proves that. Cambodia got to the point they were killing "smart" people. WIN. It's all about other peoples money, when it runs out, blood flows.
I'm reasonably well off now...I pay my taxes...I don't ****ing like it but as long as they get used wisely I understand why I need to pay them. I'd be happier if my taxes went to enrich the less fortunate among us than to enrich the already rich though. Here I've seen plenty of sick people who don't have anyone to look after them and plenty of people who have just been plain unlucky despite working their ***** off. I don't think the solution is to just ignore them do you? No one is saying they are going to grab your wallet...simply that as a citizen in a society the more fortunate among us have a responsibility to help with the less fortunate, which might include a sick family member. Frankly, I thought this was a common sense point of view when I was living in Europe, only when I moved over here did I see that it wasn't and I understood then what moral bankruptcy really was.
I underlined and boldened the society bit.....not sure why.
