The Bad Riders of Ontario Thread

Was driving on the QEW the other day (Burlington area) - Scooter in the slow lane, doing 30 under the limit; full on Dumb & Dumber style... Had an MC plate on it, but didn't look right, and no way it was bigger then 50cc, based on the size of it.

I wanted to get a pic, but couldn't in time...

Well that was dumb. Forget the traffic chaos you cause, there is a good chance you get run over. What do the LSM plates look like? Are they similar enough to MC plates that they could be mistaken at a glance?

LSM plates are white on green, vs blue on white for MC plates - it was an MC plate (or an attempt at one, anyways)

Heading to Burlington today on the 407W around 6pm, traffic moving at 130, SS flies thru lane splitting and shouldering his way thru traffic near the 410. No plate, bike blacked out, full race suit.

Startled me as he blew between me and another car at somewhere well in the 200s.

Zero surprise here, MM - same type of riders run the QEW between Hamilton and Niagara pretty regularly - splitting and taking the shoulders - on SS, full leathers head to toe, full face bucket with a blacked out visor...

A close second are the guys that use the space between the HOV and 'regular' lane as their personal bike-lane - nothing like sitting in stop and go traffic, and someone rockets past you doing 140+

I dont go on highways very often, but i think every single time i've taken it in the car, i've seen guys taking the shoulder or splitting. Often times groups of 3-4... 🤷‍♂️
Oh well

So any one of the west end 400 series highways after the MOB Friday night group ride broke off.

34 yo rider from Georgian bay township gets in a crash with a car and runs away. DUI, hit and run, breach of probation and more.

No surprise. When I worked at TRW the locals that I worked with would complain about the OPP sitting at the road + trail crossings on their sleds nailing them crossing the road with impaired charges.

Big fan of the Rebel rider on Saturday riding in the bicycle lane all the way up Mississauga Rd….I mean the lane is for 2 wheeled vehicles right?

Some people are not very smart. 18 yo with two stunt driving convictions on the record would make for some ugly insurance premiums.

Who says a Ninja 250 is too slow?
