The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Conflicting reports but there seems to have been at least one driver that was driving very poorly on the QEW. They cut off a passenger vehicle that crashed into a fuel tanker carrying 50,000 litres. Fuel tanker jumped onto south service road and then rolled. No fire, no major injuries. Dbag ran as expected.

With any luck dashcam footage will eventually surface.

Oh Brampton, you've done it again.

A 25-year-old from Brampton only had his G2 license for about 20 minutes before it was suspended by Caledon OPP.

Bad enough they're on main artery surface roads like Derry Rd., etc. @ 20kmh during rush hour, but the QEW? Idiot.

I was confused about that too. Only got a careless ticket. I wondered if the tractor was doing work for mto (clearing turnarounds and under bridges?) And drifted into live lanes?

Just some chump that wanted to have a story to brag about. This one is a better story...for the listener.

Good job getting it down. Plane is pretty much garbage at this point. Owned by a guy from BC. That's a long way from home for a 120.

EDIT:
How is the prop bent? It should be almost impossible to get a prop strike without collapsing the gear. It may be the camera angle playing visual tricks but the tip on the lower blade sure looks to be off at an angle. This plane is 100% garbage now. Both wings damaged, wing root appears to be bent, prop bent (which triggers a full engine teardown). That is more than 100K of damage for a plane that is worth maybe 60k. Pilot survived though so it's still a good day.

Hammer down. Don't worry about the plow train. They'll get out of the way. Or not.

It sure looks like there was another vehicle trying to get through the plowtrain too but they didn't get through (or crash into the plows) so they are a slightly less bad driver.

And with every overhead pixelboard telling you to not do exactly that.

Didn't ontario just make it illegal to pass the plow convoys on hwys in 2024? Someone didn't get the memo.

Did they pass the plows though? Where did the crash start and the pass end? Crashing into slower vehicles has always been frowned upon.

It sure looked like cruise control and distraction. Car gets put of shape well before plows (maintained speed until that point and then got hard on brakes). If cruise had been shut down at beginning f video, this would all have been avoided.

Remember the old commercials where the blue light was a gunner's hat?

I remember this one where they put the blue light on a race car....
