The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Six year driving ban for killing two children in a driveway because you were driving your mercedes 100+ km/h through a subdivision. Disgusting. It should have been at least 20 years. Kid can drive again when he's ~23. That's not even an issue if he goes to post-secondary school, he can get a license when he is done school.

What an utter failure of the justice system. How the F do you kill someone (yet alone 2 children in their front yard) while doing something illegal and not get a manslaughter charge...

Pulled up to a red light in the right lane. The guy in the left lane pulls up the light but further ahead than me. I think he's going to run the red but no he's turning right. Pulls out farther and turns right from the left lane passing in front of me. Was in the cage but still threw me off some.

white truck speeding in the left lane then my lane and then into the right lane. I did not wanna brake (middle lane was slowing down) so I just cut him off >.>. This was by the exit to Toronto coming back from Oakville (before the Ikea)

Guy in a small car, coming from the laneway on my right side, perpendicular to me, stops, looks right at me, then slowly pulls a left in front of me, I miss broadsiding him by less than a second, later he pulls over and stops. I think he was angry at me for not giving him my right-of-way. But maybe he or his passenger realized what he did and needed a breather.

Not sure why you'd bother to show that video.
That's every driver/rider in Toronto, enter highway, all the way to the leftmost lane.
Drive randomly up and down 0-20 kph under the limit, then accelerate to 40 over when someone tries to pass on the right.
Oh, time to exit, wait until the last second, then all the way to the rightmost lane.
It's a much needed reminder. A few years ago one of the members of this board was coming up on an exit and had someone swerve over hard enough, trying to make that exit, that the passenger side window of the car got smashed out by the member's shoulder, when they collided.

Same cop has given this guy two 172's this year and the guys mom recently got one too. Obviously they have enough money that they just dgaf. Current ticket was 83 over. Seems like a great candidate for a license cancellation (after conviction) since they are theoretically a privilege not a right.

Another 800+ m lock. Lots more of those recently. They used to be almost entirely under 500m.

I reprogrammed my car so the fob can lock/unlock while it is running. On the rare occasion that I walk away from the car with a kid in it, it is locked. Sure, someone could break the window and get it but that will slow them down a bit as they will be expecting an unlocked door.

Glad it worked out for that guy, lots of opportunities for that to go very poorly (losing kid in car, kid in his arms getting squished, him getting squished, calling police before securing his car so it would stop moving, etc).

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I got cut off today pulling up to a light by a workie in a black Toyota pickup truck with a bunch of junk 2X4s hanging out the back of the tailgate.
I blasted the horn, gave him the finger and slapped my palm on the bumper. He jumped out of the cab and threatened to smack me with a piece of the junk wood. I was wearing helmet, gloves, jacket with armour - I called him a rude name and told him to bring it. The other guy in the truck must have told him to cool it - he got back in and took off. I followed him for a couple of blocks then turned.
They walk (and drive) among us...

Motherf$*#ER on the 400SB today.

Driving SB coming home and some mofo towing a car without lights had 3 mattresses fall off his pickup bed. We slammed into one of them.

F$@$er stopped about 500m ahead of us, guess he saw us pull over also and then he took off. Couldn't catch up to him as it took us 5min to take 2 mattresses off the southbound lanes so no one slams into us, and then another 5min to get the mattress out from underneath our car. No damage that I can see right now, and the dashcam erased the footage right before the hit...but it did register the hit. I'll see if I can pull any plates (trailer / towed vehicle / tow car) off it...but doubtful.

EDIT: mattress we pulled out

Could have been worse if you were on the bike.

Could have been worse if you were on the bike.
Could have gone much more wrong in a lot of ways last night.

That’s why we ran back and pulled the other 2 off the road. Didn’t want some to hit it, swerve and then into our car.

Checked the camera footage. Have video of the mattresses flying and the hit, but it overwrote the few min before where you could make out the plate.
