You back off, wait a few seconds, and then accelerate to pass?

i can be seen running towards the accident at the end of the clip from the rear

i was the first on scene. i called 911 while assessing the situation. i estimated 6 people injured in 3 vehicles. air bags deployed. some kids were hurt.

Thank you for stopping to help. So many dashcam vids posted just show them continuing on down the road.

Why so much left lane driving?

Haha, even if there weren't two lanes, they should have been turning into the inside lane not doing the lazy drift wide. The best part was the at fault occupants were so ****** at the victim.
 
At least he was using his indicator.

The guy obviously wasn't familiar with the area and thought he HAD to get into the left lane to stay on the 401. Bad road signage strikes again.

But the left lane was cleaner . . .
 
They had ample time to brake but instead chose to try and pass the truck not realizing some dividers were in place at the bullnose area.

Crossing the bullnose (driving not on roadway) is illegal for a reason, and yet people pull this sort of move all the time. They only occasionally pay for their stupidity.
