Car comes up behind me and is literally inches from my back bumper. As soon as I am clear the bus I move over for this jerk. What happens next, well let's say karma is a biatch!

Maybe the cars today just do not handle as well as the ones from the 19XX's and nobody can hold their line through the turn?

I hope that you're playing Devil's Advocate there because I have certainly driven cars that are newer than the '90s; everything from pickup trucks to sub compacts. All are quite capable of making legal turns. It's the drivers who CHOOSE not to make them.

I definitely was, think the handling went south around the same time the stopped putting signal lights on cars
 
This is Sooooo funny as I see this crap all day long and I usually say the exact same thing ... Consider yourself lucky that you live in the West end ...and it still raises your brow when you see such abstract driving . I live right downtown and between the crazy morning and evening rush , soccer moms in high end SUV's , Fu**ing cyclists & cabs / E-bikes , emergency vehicles and pedestrians it is a daily zoo comparable to driving in India here 24/7 !! To add insult to injury the cops here are few and far between and usually don't even react to such maneuvers because they too see it at every turn . When I am on my bike I expect such driving all the time and defensive driving has been burned into my being. The only other area that makes me laugh is Markham ...Holly crap ... Markham is totally unpredictable.
 
Many people enter the turn too fast to maintain their lane. Lately, I've been seeing people blow left turns into the right lane.

Also, I've seen some driving in India, and it is nowhere near like here.

Many people are making these turns from a dead stop when lights change, so speed has nothing to do with that.

People stopping at a light, on a right turn, in the GTA. Bwah, ha, ha, ha! Good one Rob. I didn't know you had a sense of humour like that.
