Texas man beats alleged molester

Uhhh..you're taking the word of a murderer..aww, ferget it..

you guys are jumping on the bandwagon a bit here, theres really not much to this story, that you can give a concrete answer to.

the story says he caught a 47 yr old man TRYING to assault his 4 yr old daughter. nowhere does it says he's sexually molesting her.

lets just play devils advocate, what if the 4 yr old spit in his face, or did something of that nature, and the old man was attempting to spank her., or smack her hand or any other number of things.

I have some kids, and if i ever saw someone handing out punishment, i'd probably smack them in the head pretty good, but i woudlnt beat them to death.

this guy just snapped, and jumped to conclusions.

on a sidenote, if this story does reveal that he indeed tried to sexually assault her, then yes, he did the right thing ( as any parent would )
but this story is way too vague to say he did the right thing

Nope, he deserved it

well, that story certainly suggests the guy got what was deserved. so i go to what i wrote on the bottom....

done deal... whats next ?

Years ago I was talking to a guy and it was pretty obvious that he had two black eyes so I got his side of the story.
He was friends with a couple that had a young daughter and visited often and he and the girl got along well to the point where he would read her a bedtime story.
The blacks eyes came after the father walked in and saw him apparently kissing the girls stomach. (I did the same with my daughter doing the raspberry thing). Father saw one thing but the guy says it was just a tickle thing on the tummy.

I never got the other side of the story but the lesson is be very careful about what you touch or appear to touch. Sad but a reality.

I guess I'm part liberal as well because I don't see how stooping to violence ends violence. I hope the little girl didn't see the event.

Lock the SOB up forever is fine but we Bytch and complain about HTA 172 and losing our bikes for a week but it's OK to off someone without a trial.

It's human nature to destroy aberrant behavior just like all pack animals. We suppress it for the most part because we think we are above our instinct but things like this trigger it.

Maternal, paternal instinct. We devolve to our base and kill some times.

Wrath.

My favorite of the seven sins.

my favorite sin is Sloth. I'd like to tell you why, but i couldnt be bothered to type it out

Mine is the original sin, but that shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone.

wtf? what can you possible get out of molesting a 4 year old? that is fk'ed up. same with catholic priests molesting little boys. that's disgusting.

This.

The people who say if they had their chance, his death would be slow, etc.... I doubt it. If it were your child and you lost it like this father - it would be fast, brutal and bloody and there'd be no thought involved - just rage. I could totally see it. If it were me, I don't know if I'd kill the guy - but I'm pretty sure I'd be trying my best to.

The father says on Saturday he caught the 47-year old man he'd hired to help with his horses, trying to assault his four year old daughter. That's when he attacked, beating the alleged molester to death with his bare hands.
Operative words are bold (assuming all the information in this brief article is accurate). Trying to assault and actually assaulting are two very different things. Beating someone to death takes quite a bit of time, so it's not easy to believe the father did not go way above and beyond protecting his child and didn't have time to consider his actions.

The father have killed a man that may never be proven guilty of any crime.

To me "trying to assault" and "assault" are close enough to label the guy dangerous but we still don't know what sort of assault it was. Was it sexual or did the guy try to slap her for some reason. Or was it a perception by the father? We may never know.

I'm not trying to defend the guy but what if the dead guy got into an arguement with the father over money, drugs or whatever and gets beaten to death. The father tells little Suzy to back his story so daddy doesn't go to jail.

As far as how long it takes to beat someone to death it depends on the size and health of the two involved. It wouldn't take long for a heavyweight boxer to end the life of a 47 YO wimp with asthma.

Actually, a lucky (unlucky?) punch could quickly end the life of an individual i.e. it is plausible to kill someone within one or two hits, prize-fighter/MMA champ or not...

I'd have done the same thing as him, but I also would have expected to be convicted. It's a choice to perform a criminal act or not, he can't have it both ways.

defence of a third party isnt a crime. give your head a shake
