I've had people show up at the door wearing Enbridge hats, but a badge that's obviously from an unrelated company. These lying bastards have no shame and my "No peddlers; Religious or Otherwise" sign isn't necessarily a deterrent to them.

The ID is the important part. I would post a pic of mine, but I'm sure some ass would do something dumb. We also have to sign the back of our ID. We send out letters to every customer that is required to have a meter changed for government inspection, and usually the customer will call in for an appt there are circumstances where we show up because someone calls in and says they smell gas, or we have a main break, ect. But its rare. I go commercial work and although they send out letters we cold call commercial a lot.
