Thanks, I'll keep that in mindLol, first things first Jamie you've got to negotiate the other dozen corners prior to the bump without crashing.
Hopefully the "intro to track" school keeps me "safe".

Thanks for the info, will keep an eye out for thatI am fully aware of the bump in the exit of the last corner. My corner i don't like is entrance of turn 2. If i dont hit that inside line tight my suspension almost throws me up and over the seat from the bump just in the middle of 2
Thanks for the info, will keep an eye out for that
How do you like the R1 for the track? Are you using the stock suspension? My first trip to the track will be on my 07 R1 (street bike)
-Jamie M.
Thanks for the info! The R1 is great. I have done 2 track days on it. Before the R1 i had an 07 R6 that i took to the track and its a pretty big difference down the straights thats for sure. Its got a fully adjustable ohlins rrar suspension. Just taje the R1 slow down the front straight and the second straight immediately following turn 1, you can pass your breaking markers pretty quick. I ran off in turn one last monday, not fun. So dont be a hero doing 240 the first session. And i HIGHLY recommend tire warmers. You can lose the front end pretty easy if u run it hot into 1 on vold tires, it happened sunday to a guy i met at the track....first session, first corner, lost his front end on cold tires
I'm outThanks, I'll keep that in mind

Yeah, I heard the rear shock on the R1 isn't that great, I guess I'll have to look at upgrading it in the near future.
I don't own a generator so that plus tire warmers are a little out of the question at the moment. I'll make sure to take the first couple laps pretty easy at the start of each session, especially after ripping it down the front straight.
Good to know the R1 isn't a total pig on the track If my R6S wasn't so confidence uninspiring I would bring that, but it sucks compared to my R1, lol.
Can't wait to try it out! Hopefully Sept 1st/2nd are warm sunny days (not likely, lol).

The "guys with bikes" guys had "real" rain tires there for sale (with installation and balancing), so I guess if it rained they could swap your tires over to rains if you wantedTo be honest i would love to be on my R6 again, i was mote confident lol But i am dtill getting used to the R1 ...as i have never ridden a litre bike (besides on the track) and yes, lets pray the rain stays away. I only got slicks and not risking it in the rain.
or run Q2's or BT016Pro's and still have fun in the rain too!
Decisions, decisions!

Ahhh, so "real" rain tires are that much better, especially for a 1000?you can have a little bit of fun in the rain with those tires.... but not a lot, especially if you're riding a 1000.

Thanks for the great infolol just look at the tire design on each... you can't compare the two when it comes to standing water/puddles. Rain riding dictates smooth throttle and steering input.
600's like to go ............mmmeeeaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1000's like to go meaAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can have a decent and enjoyable ride on DOTs, but if there's standing water and you have the option for proper rain tires with constant drizzle, go with proper rains.
@HB Harrison..Your riding Eric Teals old bike? Saw you out there on Sunday.....
