He never mentioned he was, so I'd put money on no.

I agree Sunday mornings in halton are a write off! I got stuck behind several packs of novice cyclists who were taking up the entire lane and some of the oncoming lane on uphill climbs. I seriously felt like I was part of the peloton as a support motorcycle. Felt really weird when I was stuck at the lights on lower baseline and hwy 25 with a huge pack of them! That same Sunday, I went out in the evening and had a blast, no cyclists anywhere! So for the last 20+ years our small group (avg. 5) have scheduled early morning rides on Sundays into escarpment country, We're not of the younger breed but have a lot of riding experience under our belts and with most of us located in the GTA's west end, we were blessed with short timeframes to head into the north Burlington and Halton Region areas but yesterday was our wake up call to avoid Sunday mornings.
The ratio of cyclists and bikers is not even equitable these days and it is becoming a bad cocktail mix in trying to share road space within the narrow roads.
Further complicating things is the refusal of large groups of cyclists to allow bikers ( incl. cars) to pass them so all forms of vehicles get stuck behind them and impatient such that stupid moves on both sides are undertaken. We even crested a blind hill yesterday only to hit the binders cuz a few cyclists decided to stop and take a water break in the middle of the road.
Anyway, when I noticed that two of our group became so ****** that they laid on their horns coming up behind the cyclists throwing them off balance and further, refuse to leave them wide berths. I told the two guys that it would be too easy to hit one of the cyclist if they don't stay wide when passing them. I just don't get it
However what I do get is that cyclists have rights on roadways so we are hoping they will be in lesser numbers on weekday mornings.
MAMILS - middle aged men in lycra. The penguins...
My kids used to work in a local independent coffee shop...
They rued the days "the penguins" would show up... Middle to older aged guys decked out in their riding gear...
I guess their special peddling shoes aren't really meant for walking on polished concrete floors...
They'd come into the shop, click around pensively trying to not fall over... Pollute the bathroom and ask for their water bottles to be filled with ice water... Never bought anything, but... "Hey can I get some ice water?"

I think this is job is best left to the 'loud pipes save lives' movement. I'm pretty sure a Harley slowing down to pass a peloton would need to clear it's throat a few times.Maybe a group of motorcycles should pack in front of the bicycle group, slow down, block the road ( like they do ) not allowing them to pass. Maybe then they will know what it feels like not to share the road. Then do it at a stop sign

Really, how about CR-9 between 124 and Creemore. That's pretty remote and yet it attracts dozens of these types who want to ride very slowly up and down the escarpment. Every time I rode through there last summer I encountered groups of spandex warriors taking up the entire lane and causing all kinds of evasive action on behalf of all other road users. If you're encountering groups of cyclists, you're not riding remote enough. Where I ride, I might encounter a lone cyclist on rare occasions but that's it.
That depends. Some are out working their ***** off. Others are no better than Horton's choice and they get all kitted up to ride to the closest coffee shop and pose. Those people are useless tits regardless of their choice of two-wheel vehicles.'Good for them getting out and getting/staying fit.
well, considering that gyms are STILL closed... can you blame em for taking up something thats...well.. never closed lolPoking fun and hatin' on these peddlers aside...

I'd never laugh at or make fun of the fat guy at the gym either... you know, if I ever went to a gym.
My neighbour has a special hate on for cyclists the ride 2 abreast.
He has a misaligned washer fluid nozzle on the passenger side of his truck that shoots a stream over and right - it’s his medication when he feel a bout of cyclist road rage.
Until they run it and you crash into them with right of way, or worse you try to avoid and cause your own accident.meh.... a cyclist running a stop sign doesn't affect me. Let em do it.
There were (and probably are but I haven't been in a long time) some T intersections in Toronto with a bike lane. Vehicles lose their crap when bikes go through the red. The bikes need to watch for pedestrians but there is no way to have a vehicle conflict unless the vehicle is driving in the bike lane. They are just annoyed that they are stuck and you are going. Honestly, I rarely stop at stop signs on a bicycle. Always slow down, always stop if I screwed up the timing and there are people with the right-of-way but don't stop just because of the sign.meh.... a cyclist running a stop sign doesn't affect me.
