Stolen Motorcycle.PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone,
I wanted some help from fellow riders. On Thursday May 24th I parked my Yamaha R6 at Scarborough Town Center and then went for movies. I locked my helmet with the passenger seat and forgot to take out the key from the passenger seat lock. When I got back from the movies I noticed that my bike was missing. It was a nightmare for me :'(. If any of my fellow riders see a Yamaha R6 2007 (Metallic Grey) with minor scratches on the right side, please contact me. I had worked really hard and saved up money to finally buy the bike and it is really very disturbing for me to not have it anymore. I know it is too much to ask, but please help me out.
Thank you,
Ride safe everyone.

you can help yourself out by calling your insurance company. Thats what they are there for.

Eek, left the key in it. I use to live in that part of Toronto/scarborough. Hopefully, for your sake, someone just took it for a ride. Report it to anyone and everyone.

I am sorry for your loss, and please don't hate on me, but, I need to write this because everyone else surly thought of it.

You leaving the key in the passenger lock was a GIFT.

No hate for what you said. It was my mistake for sure. and to be honest with you I regret it day and night.

So ... theft insurance; yes - no?? Sucks to have your bike stolen either way but sucks more with no insurance. Sorry for your loss and I can see making that kind of simple mistake (leaving the key) One moment of mental distraction. Can happen to anyone.

When I get a sport or SS, I'm gonna find out a way to plant a bomb on my bike. If it's not deactivated before moving, it explodes.

Now if I kill myself doing that.....=/

And......

Start saving again.

I think everyone here has left their key in their bike at least once before. Unfortunately in your case you were very unlucky. That sucks dude.

Wow .... double sorry for your loss. Doubt I'll see your bike out here in Brampton but I'll keep an eye open for it anyway. I have left my key in the same place on my bike a couple of times but always when it was parked in my locked garage. Don't beat yourself up too much about making that mistake. Like someone else said; just start saving again and this time, save enough for theft insurance too.

Thank you guys. Just keep your eyes open and thats all I ask for.
and yes I am starting to save up again, but i really hope i somehow find it.
Thanks again everyone

I don't know what sucks more.
Having your bike stolen or knowing that its your own fault and you have no insurance to cover it. I feel for ya.

Post a pic if you have one.
Any distinguishing marks in case its parked/dumped somewhere...... although highly doubtfull you never know.

Op what brought you to this forum? you weren't a member here until this happened? Just curious..

Make it a point to check kijiji and craiglist for parts for an R6. Also check ebay as well. Probably a good idea to call all bike scrap yards to let them know what happen to your R6 and for them to keep you in mind if someone tries to sell them parts.

Not to rub salt in the wounds. But imagine the luck of the thief.. He probably originally just saw the helmet sitting on the bike and thought to himself.. hmm wonder if the helmet is locked down.. if not i'll grab it! then when he walked over he saw the key, and realized he could take the whole bike, but then he needs a helmet, oh wait! just got one, and it fits! what are the odds?
