Stolen bike registry

Driver doesn't have a trailer? Not stolen since it's not a late model sport bike.

A friend of mines 08 ZX-10R was stolen last night (July 4) from his apartment complex in the Yonge and Eglington area. The bike is mint. Black in colour, full Akro exhaust, pazzo levers amongst other add ons. Please keep your eye out. This is happening way too much.

I am a little late in posting, my Honda CBR600RR 2009 (ABS) with Yoshi Slip on exhaust black in color, very mint only had 7800KM stolen on 14th June 2012 (Thursday), I live near SQ-1 area in one of the condo buildings.

This is my second Honda CBR600RR that was stolen, first was in 2009 (Honda CBR600RR 2005 Tribal Black Edition with Yoshi Slip on Exhaust) around same SQ-1 area though different condo building.

looks like nice retro bike,y not take time and secured properly

I don't thieves would take time to put a blanket underneath and tuck it in from on top after..

This sounds to be a pretty brilliant idea as it helps registering theft of your vehicle as well as getting it in to the list so that people can watch out for these specific bikes as well as help each other to ensure there is no unlawful event like stealing any where and with any body and ensuring safety of the city and thus helping the law and our selves as well

Most people who come crying to the forum about their stolen bike never post in this thread.

That sucks man :( Hopefully the insurance company treats you good so you can still ride this season!

750 for the next bike? Or going right to 1k?

Outta curiosity, would it be more helpful for all of us if the victims posted the VIN numbers of their bikes so that if we're in the market, we know not to buy stolen bikes from curbsiders, etc?

That would be of no help. They wouldn't be able to sell it with a stolen vin, lol.

If it's on the market, the VIN# has been changed.

His bike is already in a shipping container to South America or Mauritus, has been stripped down for parts or the frame machined down and a new VIN stamped.

My friend's 2006 Suzuki SV650 was stolen this morning sometime after 12:30am in London Ontario. Bike is charcoal in colour, after market pazzo levers, Leo Vince exhaust, roughly 40000km+, Woodbridge rearsets. If any of you come across please PM me. Thx.

The only reason that have the blanket is to cover their plates . . . .

Someone stole my Ruckus. I hope they ride into a bus with it. F***** Pr****! VIN: JH2AF58269K600391

Interestingly enough, it looks much like this ad on Kijiji. Same year, model, make, and mileage?! Stock red 09 Honda Ruckus with approx 500kms

CA$H reward to those with info leading to its recovery (PM me - thanks). Cheers, and ride safe.

Any identifying marks on it? Rash in a specific area? This is the sort of thng that people should mention. They should also think to mark their bikes in a hard to see place, in case this sort of thing happens.

good idea. VIN numbers etched in behind the plastics somewhere. (under the seat etc).
Theif would have to change out a lot of plastics etc.

Not sure if they did this here in Canada, but downunder, in the mall carparks, there used to be booths setup for guys to etch people's windows with the Vehicle VINs. That way if car was stolen, and VIN replaced, theif had to replace all the windows too. A nice simple deterrent.

Since plastics are one of the things that are easiest to resell, etching the back on them with name, VIN, plate#, something makes it more likely that the thief will be caught. They used to sell acid etch kits for car windows, at Canadian Tire. Don't know if they still do. A Dremel would likely do well enough on the back side of plastics.
