Southwood Road Ride w/crash

Just cuz there is a great leader does not mean there won't be accidents. Accidents can happen with great ... Or even with crappy leaders

One crash in a blue moon ... Sure, it happens.

Three in one ride ... something's wrong.

Back tire starts to slide out at 1:34, he crashes just after that. Doesn't look like a big deal, **** happens.

There was only 2 crashes. The 3rd was just the bike being laid down, after it's stopped.

It sounds like you're arguing the facts and saying that the crashes are in result of the leader?...

No. Crashes can happen regardless of who is leading.

SW is a tricky rd. Riders were outside their comfort zone or had some kind of rider error. Again... Not in result of the leader.

You're so right! I knew this thread would live on somewhere!! Found it...

My favorite part is when the guy recording the video waved for the other guys to keep going after the crash....

"Screw him he's down let's keep going!"

Sounds like a good group ride lol

You guys crossed the yellow on the FIRST corner on the road, and crashed in the THIRD corner. You should not be riding twisties, let alone southwood.

So what makes you the judge of that? Do you have some sort of special authority?

I can't believe Paul locked that other thread. Drama sells...look at that view count! Stop shooting yourself in the foot!

O look, more unfounded criticism! It was more like, hey go get the leader and let him know what happened. What would I know though, I was only there whereas you have this short video to make baseless assumptions.

Ya no kidding, god forbid we use this forum to discuss things.

No that really is my favorite part of an otherwise ****** video.

At 1:10?? Lucky no incoming cars...
Hope rider is ok, but from the video looks like a mixed group of seasoned riders and unexperienced riders trying to keep pace. Looked like rider error locking up rear and target fixation.
Big group rides especially on a technical road that eats a bike every other week like 13 should be split up and lead by riders that know how to set a pace.
That in mind everyone is responsible for there own pace and if you ride beyond you capability or on a road your not familiar with.... Well that's usually the outcome.

She told him to go catch up with the leader to tell him someone went down. The leader kept going and didn't stop(i guess he didn't see). There were enough people to help the downed rider, so she sent him to stop the leader.
