Sometimes people use my driveway to access a field by my house....

Sometimes when one asks for an opinion and the opinion given simply not feasible. I would hope that it would be okay to reject that opinion. Besides giving out a google map address of my property to prove that a fence won't work I don't know what more I can do. I guess that makes me argumentative and a fan of winged horses.

A couple very good suggestions were made which I am going to actually use so this thread was worth writing despite all of the juvenile, rude, insulting and ill tempered responses :)

You know what I observe? You didn't read the whole thread, you have nothing worthwhile to contribute to it, yet you feel the need to voice an opinion about me.

I'm still waiting for you to show me boobies.
Tired of the facial shots

Start with one of these....

And you can order a roll of this......

Then spike in the 3' green posts.....All cheap and effective.

:salute:

I guess folks take exception to the whole social aspect of a message board/forum, and are perturbed about brainstorming options when ideas that are put forth can't/won't/don't work for the OP are rejected (for the record, this is 'Romper Room', where endless discussions are inferred by the very title of the section...).

I recommend doing drugs and smoking, will help take the edge off.

:lmao:...... :drunken:

This thread was funny as hell...

Since the thread has degraded into mockery anyway....
England has Stonehenge. Texas has Carhenge so Red could have Bikehenge with all the crappy bikes for sale in the buy and sell. Put in an ATV and 4X4 as well with signs "No trespassing. Yours could be next".

All in fun Red, all in fun.

PS Bought some rocks for the back yard at fourteen cents a pound. A gut buster was about $20.00. I'm sure some farmer would be happy if you just took his away.

Thanks for the tip. I have someone coming to put some in for free and they are going to backhoe the embankment to make it more steep just in case someone thinks they can make it through. Should be alright.

P.S. Don't let the little b**ches on this forum make you think I am vicious, I only attack bullies.

I would've went the route of vehicle destroying booby traps. but that's just me~ and I'm into the whole, the punishment should be WAY harsher than the crime, so people don't try and do it again. Because when you think about it, if they get a slap on the wrist for doing something, they'd probably say it's totally worth it. and keep repeating it... the punishment should outweight the benefits, not the other way around~

BACK ON TOPIC. I could set up so many evil traps if you'd like... hehe. make people really fear for their life!

Now that's something I'd take exception to with a couple of kids runnin' around

nah.. you just need pressure pads that set off with abouts 400 or more lbs of weight. Unless the kids are 200lbs a pop (in which case they need to lay off the pop!), they won't set it off.

I'd trust'em for battlefield use. Not for civvie applications, especially with children running around, regardless of what their momma's been feedin'em.

And it really pisses me off. I am not sure if I am being overly pissy about it or not. I worry about the safety of my pets and kids as they play in my field and the adjoining field which is owned privately but by a company that just keeps it trimmed and doesn't care who is on it. There has been trucks and jeeps on occasion both at night and in the day which will drive up my driveway and then drive around in the field and then exit using my driveway.
This pisses me off. When people take their 4-wheelers into areas that they're not allowed to go wheeling in, it makes the entire Jeep community look bad. Kinda like that Vancouver R6 rider makes all SS riders look like speed-deamons.

Your best course of action is fencing off the access or blocking your driveway. Your next course of action is to complain to the property owners about the use of their land. If you need more, try talking to your city council about what the property is being used for.

Did you check google to see if any off-road or similar message boards reference your area as a place to go? That it's all sorts of different people - I'd wonder how it's getting 'advertised'.
I can say this much, if this area is listed on Canada's largest online Jeep community, it'll be listed as a "no-go" zone since it's private property.

Liability issues:

The city of Brampton got sued when a piece of undeveloped property they owned was used by a kid on a dirt bike. He became crippled due to a crash on the site. The family sued for, in essence, perpetual care but eventually lost. I believe the city eventually won because they had made attempts to fence and control the site. The legal bills cost the family their house IIRC, a double burden.

The difference here is that it appears the land owner isn't making any effort to control the site. In the event of a collision or wreck ( I don't like the word accident) they could be in far more risk of liability. If they are notified in writing (Registered) with a copy going to the local authorities it might get some attention.

Thats the spirit... lets blame the "land owner" when there is an accident on their land that they never fenced...

People are their own worst enemies.... *****, complain, whine, restrict.

You can't do anything anywhere because

A: Everyone is afraid of lawers
B: NIMBYism is a catchy disease
C: Tools like "loud pipes"

Trucks and Cars are not silent, just teach the kids some vehicle awareness and they will likely be A-OK.

I have never ONCE told my kids not to play in the street, never held their hands when out and about, but I DO tell them they better pay close attention or they may end up plastered on someones grill... result, they are very street aware...

It is not that complicated folks.
