What do you expect from letting bunch of immigrants coming here. The incident happens in Brampton, the worst drivers of the country live there.

So here's what happened. I was stopped at a set of lights at mcmurchy and charolais in brampton. Had my foot on the brake when next thing I know I'm going forward and the bike is falling on me. I saw her coming up behind me but it looked like she was stopping so as I'm lying there with the bike on me she backs up and makes a right and heads towards steeles. I get the bike back up and get her started after a few attempts and chase after this bi*^h. I saw her make her turn on steeles but don't know where she went from there. By the time I got back to where I got hit to see if anyone stayed there was no one there. All I could tell the police was it was like a 2000 grey Honda civic 4 door don't know the plate. With a mid 30's Indian lady driving. That's all I can remember. Not sure if I'm going through insurance or not. Will this hurt my rates at all? Will try and post some pics soon. Ride safe all glad it wasn't any worse.

You see drivers driving properly being courteous, you slow down, indicate move past them respectfully, the rest of the drivers you drive around them like they drive, if they drive bending rules, you do the same, if you go agaisnt the driving of the public you will crash. If people are doing 140-150 on the highway don't do 100-120, get my point? I've had a cop friend tell me this as well, drive like how the majority of traffic is driving if you want to live to see another day.

never expect a cager to not hit you or trust he's a good driver, just like singers, artists, filmakers, there only a hand full of riders and drivers out there that will actually have the skill and talent to be safe around you most are not.

Didn't want this to turn into a race thing. Just wanted to share that's all. Doesn't matter where you are from. If you hit someone do the right thing and stop. After work tonight I'm going to go around my area and see if I can find the car. If I do I'll knock on the door cause I will never forget that face.

Got into a fight on a completely unrelated board with some old hag who said we shouldn't let immigrants into the country because they're diluting Canadian culture, because they don't contribute anything and are taking over the country (I'm paraphrasing, but sadly not exaggerating). Turns out she was an immigrant herself, came from the UK when she was younger but because she was British "that made her more Canadian".

That being said... my brother's girlfriend was leaving work (she works in an office directly across the street from PacMall), got hit by some old asian guy making an improper turn who immediately called his insurance and yelled at her for half an hour, and said it was all her fault and accusing her of not even knowing how to drive, not knowing the rules of the road, etc. Of course he was found 100% at fault.

Basically remove that word immigrant and replace it with, black, brown, indian, etc thats what it actually means here in Canada.

I used to hang out this guy. He moved to Brampton and after 2 yrs, hes changed. I consider him an *******. Basically living there change his personality. He no longer has courtesy and manner. Basically became a selfish brick.

So basically if you were born lets say here in Canada, you are a Born Canadian. You did not Immigrate here from another country. Even if your parents did and you were still born here, you still are a Born Canadian.

Things do get nasty here quickly. And you're right, on other riding forums you often find more of a brotherhood atmosphere. But GTAM is huge, and large numbers tend to give people a feeling of anonymity.

Infact, i have an uncle that's in a vegetative state due to motorcyclist hitting him and running. its' just the way it is down there....these 'values' are packed in their luggage along with many of their engrained values/habits. .

Well said. My parents are immigrants, one west indian one irish but they quite successfully assimilated into Canadian culture...seems like many new immigrants would rather live somewhere where instead of say Waterloo St. there's a New Dheli Ave. and Karachi St. My question...why leave then?
