Got into a fight on a completely unrelated board with some old hag who said we shouldn't let immigrants into the country because they're diluting Canadian culture, because they don't contribute anything and are taking over the country (I'm paraphrasing, but sadly not exaggerating). Turns out she was an immigrant herself, came from the UK when she was younger but because she was British "that made her more Canadian".

That being said... my brother's girlfriend was leaving work (she works in an office directly across the street from PacMall), got hit by some old asian guy making an improper turn who immediately called his insurance and yelled at her for half an hour, and said it was all her fault and accusing her of not even knowing how to drive, not knowing the rules of the road, etc. Of course he was found 100% at fault.

I was going to suggest that you post a "looking for witnesses to accident" ad in kijiji, when I found this :

On Wednesday August 6, 2013 at approx 9:15 pm, my son was involved in a hit and run at Simcoe and John Streets in Oshawa. He was hit while riding his bike, by a lady driving a red car. If anyone witnessed this accident can you please call my son at 289-927-7453 or myself, Laurie ( his mother) at 705-431-6276

Check with the local police division. Sometimes good Samaritans leave tips if they witnessed a crime. Hope you find the lead.
 
Thanks again all. I am for sure going to look around my area for the car as well as take that same route every day at the same time. Bad thing is my wife hated me riding and now with this she doesn't want me on a bike ever again. I keep telling her I'm ok just a bit banged up but still no help.

I just wish people would have a little more respect for someone then what we see in this world today. But hey a lot worst happens on a daily basis I'm just glad I'm ok and can talk about it.

exactly, this is why I got the hell out of there. Brampton has to be the worst place I have driven and I lived there a majority of my life. It is quite frankly turning into a **** hole and no one has any common sense or courtesy.

Friend of mine down there just got her car written off by a G1 driver driving without a passenger on the 410 (2 things there that are illegal under the G1 laws). To top it off his parents had the audacity to come to her house afterwards asking to not go through insurance, without even asking if she was okay or apologizing.

Not to bad but still. The rear tire looks ok doesn't look out of line. But still gunna have it checked.

So far from what I can see damaged fairing, turn signal, mirror, lever, handle bar ends,muffle mount, muffle, foot peg ,foot brake bent in.

Other the the rear end anything else that can go out of wack from a hit like this?

I have the same crack on my fairing! The previous owner of my bike got rear ended as well. The damage doesn't look that bad ... You might have steering misalignment ... but Ted from rosey toes just rammed my bike tire up against a light pole and it straightened out ...

Anyway, I really hope you catch her :(

Keep dreaming, that's what it is about here at GTAM. You know, the only hit and runs ever happen are in Brampton and it always involves an immigrant, ask any smart GTAMer ....
 
WTF is wrong with people!?

This makes me seriously consider getting a GoPro now. I've wanted one just for kicks, but I think it's best to get one for IN-CASE evidence purposes.

With a mid 30's Indian lady driving. That's all I can remember. Not sure if I'm going through insurance or not. Will this hurt my rates at all? Will try and post some pics soon. Ride safe all glad it wasn't any worse.

I used to hang out this guy. He moved to Brampton and after 2 yrs, hes changed. I consider him an *******. Basically living there change his personality. He no longer has courtesy and manner. Basically became a selfish brick.

After that, i avoid hanging out with him And i know couple friends also dont like to hang out with him. His new friends are.... (not being racist or anything) Indians.
 
I live in Brampton not by choice but because I don't have time to move ATM . and all this is true sad to say but on a weekly almost daily basis I am witnessing illegal and dumb maneuvers in cages. I almost got hit while parked and not only did I honk the car kept backing up till I hopped out of my car to stop this lady then she almost hit me into my car. Instead of looking in her rearview she was backing up by looking forward :/

I need to get out of here before I get hit
