So here's what happened. I was stopped at a set of lights at mcmurchy and charolais in brampton. Had my foot on the brake when next thing I know I'm going forward and the bike is falling on me. I saw her coming up behind me but it looked like she was stopping so as I'm lying there with the bike on me she backs up and makes a right and heads towards steeles. I get the bike back up and get her started after a few attempts and chase after this bi*^h. I saw her make her turn on steeles but don't know where she went from there. By the time I got back to where I got hit to see if anyone stayed there was no one there. All I could tell the police was it was like a 2000 grey Honda civic 4 door don't know the plate. With a mid 30's Indian lady driving. That's all I can remember. Not sure if I'm going through insurance or not. Will this hurt my rates at all? Will try and post some pics soon. Ride safe all glad it wasn't any worse.

Sadly not getting the license plate will impact your insurance. If you had the plate, it would be hit and run and you would be in the clear. As it is not, IIRC it is covered by the insurance portion of your policy. It sucks, but it is the only way, every bike crash would say a mystery vehicle caused the crash and they were therefore not at fault.

Glad to hear you walked away.

Thats sucks badly.... Any chance there are any traffic cameras in the area?

wtf is wrong with people? rear end someone, then as they're lying there on the ground you back up and go around them...

=(

Cameras needed everywhere...

At least we aren't as Russia!

This is ****ing nonsense!! I don't understand how people are not reporting this while seeing it happen. Its ridiculous.

I'm glad you were not hurt buddy.

I'm investing in GoPro Front and rear.

What do you expect from letting bunch of immigrants coming here. The incident happens in Brampton, the worst drivers of the country live there.

Hey thanks all. Sadly no cameras. The bad thing is I ride with a tank cam but it looked like it was going to rain today so I didn't put it on. Man am I so ******. Just got off the phone with my insurance broker and he's a good family friend and he just said screw it don't even bother going through insurance.

Not to bad but still. The rear tire looks ok doesn't look out of line. But still gunna have it checked.

So far from what I can see damaged fairing, turn signal, mirror, lever, handle bar ends, muffle mount, muffle, foot peg ,foot brake bent in.

Other the the rear end anything else that can go out of wack from a hit like this?

Thanks again

Hate to agree with this, but it's likely very true.

99 percent+ of the people on this forum are immigrants if you go back a few generations.

Didn't want this to turn into a race thing. Just wanted to share that's all. Doesn't matter where you are from. If you hit someone do the right thing and stop. After work tonight I'm going to go around my area and see if I can find the car. If I do I'll knock on the door cause I will never forget that face.

no so. Just happened to me in a parking lot. Reported it as a hit and run. No change in my insurance.

This is why everyone should ride with a helmet cam. Doesn't matter if I'm riding for 5 hours or 5 minutes, I always have mine recording. I also carry a spare battery and SD card.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I hope it all works out.

I would go back to that same intersection every day or as often as you can, preferably at the same time your accident occured, looking for that car. Odds are good she takes that same route often. Get the plate, then report her.

And / or explore / search all of Brampton on your spare time till you find the car.

I saw her make her turn on steeles

Do you remember what street she turned on? "Scout" out that location too.

Excellent point!
We are creatures of habit, and there's a very good chance that's her daily route to work, school, etc...
