Snowboarding season ALMOST here lol

Can anybody tell me how the conditions are at Blue.
I hear it is still s*#*y.
Plan on possible going tomorrow, Thursday 12th.

Considering blue is dece at best, they have the usual granular hardpack/ice. You wont put a ding in your base.

Just got back from Blue.(7:30pm)
Ride up this morning (7 am) was rain till near Blue.
Snow conditions where 7-10 with fog at the top.
Light was very flat, no lift lines, chalet was also MT.
Then about 3 `ish rain at the top with conditions getting worse with rain.
Ride home was rain.
Never-the-less had fun.
Mind you this will probably all change tomorrow(Friday) due to lots of snow, hopefully.

I was about to skip work for a "poweder" day at blue but it doesen't look like it will snow that much.

Going to MSLM on Saturday for a patrol shift. Will report back on Sat night how the conditions were. Supposed to snow tomorrow. I may post videos from my new contour hd camera. So you guys can see for yourselves

Went to MSLM yesterday and had a pretty good day riding. Hill was groomed but a bit icy from the temperature drop in the morning but my friend and I went on every run before we started finding some sweet lines. We were lucky cause it snow lightly all day so by the afternoon the hill soften up and the last half of the day were great riding conditions. Rode switch most of the day, trying to lock it down so it looks seamless. Think I may by a helmet cause the park looks sick. Not necessarily the big jumps but some of the rails just look too good to pass up.

Helmet is a good idea. I have one and it's great..I was reluctant at first..but with the money-making power of my brain (haha!) I thought I should. Works well..I especially like how it holds the goggles away from my head so they don't fog up. Pretty cool.

I've been a moping around like a dick lately because of the lack of snow in Utah this year..well, the new forecast is out..and this kinda makes me happier..

Remember, these are all preliminary estimates and chances are these totals and timing will change as we get closer. Just trying to give everybody an idea of what to expect. If you add the totals up for these four separate impulses, you’d find that I’m expecting 2-4 feet total over the next ten days. Not too shabby…

Nice... :-)

Hope you guys got out this weekend, we got some great snow here in Borden, and went to Bancroft for a nice trail ride. Few thousand sleds out I'm sure, it was almost carnage on the trails!

Current high-end forecast for Snowbird/Alta for the next 7 days is 60" of snow...that's 5'... :occasion5:

THIS SUCKS MAJOR BALL$

WTF is with this F*#&$*g weather?!
Bikes are in storage so I can't take them out for a spin.

There is absolutely not a single more thing I can do to get my skidoo more snow ready, I go out and polish stuff on it just to do something sled related.
I think the most I've ridden my sled this year is when I had it on the ski/track dollies and rode it down the drive way to the trailer. Pretty sad that I had to jump on just to feel like I rode lol. Also, was not a good idea: No brakes or steering on a downhill slope on a 500+lb machine headed for a semi-busy road.

I know the weather still sucks but here's another vid for you guys :) Hopefully we can get out to the park and make some real vids.
