Snowboarding season ALMOST here lol

Awesome vid bro. I'm hitting up blue mountain for a b-day next month. It'll be my first time snowboarding I'm pumped!

Blue mountain is finally open, but the conditions on sat weren't that good

Skied there Thursday Friday = probably the best two days of the season.:( Friday afternoon was mushy and lots of brown snow = churned up by the groomers. Bailed Friday afternoon - no point going back until there is more snow. Crowds were low - skied to chair most of the time (North) - central & south was a bit more busy.

You flew out and back in, right?

No, skiied for 8 hours after a half hour drive to the (small) slopes.

I was able to try those new fangled skiis that they have out now, rather than the Rossi 4sk 207's that I was used to.

heyding to holiday again today. should be good. its snowing there right now.

Almost? Could'a fooled me. Saw someone on a Kawi ss while out for a walk with the missus this afternoon.

Snow shmow.

THIS SUCKS MAJOR BALL$

WTF is with this F*#&$*g weather?!
Bikes are in storage so I can't take them out for a spin.

There is absolutely not a single more thing I can do to get my skidoo more snow ready, I go out and polish stuff on it just to do something sled related.
I think the most I've ridden my sled this year is when I had it on the ski/track dollies and rode it down the drive way to the trailer. Pretty sad that I had to jump on just to feel like I rode lol. Also, was not a good idea: No brakes or steering on a downhill slope on a 500+lb machine headed for a semi-busy road.

My cousin runs a marina up near South River..he's been seeing more and more ATV work rather than snow machines. Season is so short some years it's hardly worth the trail pass. I think he was saying it's like 5:1 ATV to snow machine. Sux for the snowmobile boys..

Yep, I've put in well over a grand just to get ready to ride this season... At least it will be ready for next year, and I won't have to do my bi-annual engine rebuild.

Haven't had a chance to ride but let me know how St Louis is, I'm going sometime this week. Thanks

What about towing it to somewhere where there is actual snow??? Maybe a transfer is in order.

Well, they are riding the trails in Petawawa, and I'm posted there but I'm in Borden for a couple more weeks of school.
I was excited thinking I would experience a bit of the snow belt lol.

been to blue about 5 times in the last 3 weeks....conditons have been all over the map...spring-like, powder-ish (as powder ish as ontario gets lol)...went last night and it was very granular....dec27-31 were the best days to go so far in the season imo...

Get used to this. The Earth Axis's have shifted slightly year after year. Notice Europe is getting warmer and so are we?

St Louie condition was ok a bit of ice patches. It was dead up there no lines at all. Also the lady said lift tickets are only $39 taxes in on weekdays for the rest of the month of January.

I had a good time got a lot of runs in a short amount of time.

Well, salvation may be at hand. The 2-week forecast is for 2.5-3' of snow in the Wasatch mountains in Utah..my trip is saved! :-) And it looks like Ontario will be getting snow as well. Who know..2 week forecasts are guesswork I pretty much think..but I'm trying to be positive.
