Shafia family all found guilty of first-degree murder

Good riddance. I'm all for religious freedom, including any headdress that the person wants to wear and even polygamy, but hurting or killing are a no-no in any civilized society. Let them rot in jail until the end of their days. As long as they don't get early parole or even parole after only 25 years, justice has been served.

And for that kind of crime, prison justice is probably on the menu.

This and many other horrible things happen because of people's belief in imaginary friends. Good for us that we have rational people here.

The problem is that many people are too stupid to see the benefits of following a pragmatic moral code, so they need religious mumbo-jumbo to get them to toe the line a bit more. That's why, there's still a real need for religion. Hell, even the commies knew that and created personality cults around various glorious leaders. Otherwise. Many people wouldn't do the right thing just because it's the right thing. Adding random crap to the mix is where you create trouble. Sometimes, that crap even has justifiable origins and even a real need for the region, as American troops demonstrated in Iraq..

Muslim women are typically allowed to walk around the house bareheaded when there are no visitors around. Some US troops saw a 13-14yrold little girl and fell in lust. So they barged into her house, murdered her family, raped and murdered her. So while some of us think that certain customs exist in order to "control" the women, a lot of times, they come out of a genuine need for protection. My great-grandmother used to wear a scarf whenever she left a house and my family has been Christian for over a millennium and a half. However, during her lifetime, 6 distinct hostile forces moved through the region and they were quick to rape and kill, so it wasn't really prudent for women to show off their attributes, unless they're uggos ;)

Of course, there's no chance in hell that the offenders in this case were protecting their women and I'm sure there's a special place in hell reserved for them, once they finish rotting away in prison.

Right on!! Now let's bring back capital punishment. I predict the son will try taking his own life. This was all the fathers idea from the start I'm sure.

Are you serious? Tell me your kidding. Are you really trying to tell me that you don't see the difference between criminal violence against innocent victims from an organized sporting event between to athletes who have agreed to display there talents within a set of rules for pay win or lose? Don't go there unless you like sounding like a total fool.

From the reports I've read, and heard, Shafia didn't seem to be all that religious. No more so than a "Christmas and Easter Catholic." As a result both he, and we, cannot blame religion for this. He's simply evil.

Whoever walks into the ring (octagon, hexagon, whatever) does it of his own free will and with the option to immediately stop it any time he's had enough.

Had an interesting conversation with a coworker from Romania. He said the people actually loved the nazis in WW2 because the soldiers came through gave children chocolate respected and helped the people and left peacefully. Then the Allies came through and blew everything up raped women and were downright rude. Stuff like that makes you think about the stuff you dont hear about.

But I am glad they got what they deserved... Our country our laws dont like it go home. I am all for polygamy if all are consenting parties but murdering one wife and her kids to get rid of her isnt how its done here.

I dont think the ones being put in ovens and gas chambers were probably fans of the nazis...

Glad that family got what was coming to them.

Possibly a control freak with a touch of religion to justify, in his mind, whatever he wants to do.
