Tell him you are interested in one of the $40k bikes. Once you have him on the hook, pull the bait and switch and ask about a bike that is less than 10k.Ok will do. He hasn’t responded to the last 2 emails or calls.

I’ve had some luck revisiting sellers that turned down my initial offer. After a month or so of the toy sitting after my initial offer I’ll send my offer again politely.Good plan thanks @Mad Mike. I’ll try that on a few that refused to respond to my offer (obviously low ball to them).
Wonder if that strategy works with dealers also as Peninsula has a nice bike I’m interested in. Anyone got a good connection there?
Just did. Used the exact words that @Mad Mike stated. Guy told me he'll let me know tomorrow as someone is offering more to go see it.I’ve had some luck revisiting sellers that turned down my initial offer. 50+ YO, arthritic neck limits shoulder checks. Slower reaction times. Old bones don't heal as fast. Life altering injuries and retraining for new occupations is more difficult.Insurers don't actually track motorcycle accidents by category, make and model. Nor do they track riders based on MC claims -- your age and experience discounts are based on ins company's automobile claims. Kinda dumb -- 50+ are the lowest claims group for cars, but the highest for motorcycles. Kinda silly that the group with the highest claims gets the cheapest insurance.
They classify bikes into groups arbitrarily based on category and displacement. They do track thefts by make so if you have a bike that interests thieves or is prone to comp claims (which includes all Harleys) your collision and comp will be high.
